Could you destroy Mag yourself to be able to perform chieftains fury then roll that into enrage to perform free charge or attack with other giant. Or is that the same trigger.

The simultaneous trigger rule only applies to orders and tactics cards, Mags effect to attack with chieftains fury is neither so you can trigger last of their kind and the free attack from Mag of he were to bite it from enrage. For what it's worth, you do get to choose the ordering so you could charge a giant somewhere and then make Mags final attack.

Mag has slowly gone from 9 points damn that's expensive. To hey I don't want to leave MaG out of this list. He's the most high impact freefolk unit. Only free folk unit garunteed to make an impact on high armour units. Taking him as a stand alone unit without being commander is becoming most popular way to run him. Only weak point is having armour +4 as opposed to +3 Wun Wun. But he does get another unit smashing attack when he dies so its not the worst thing when he goes down. On missions where objective is to wipe out specific units he's become pretty much an auto pick. Not many free folk can do that.
