And though you've been through one of those rough patches, with the love between you and your family you are on the road to recovery. God Bless you both and the family and friends in your life!

I attend the same church as Kris's parents, and a mutual friend from church recently posted on Facebook a link to Jerry's toast video given at your wedding reception. In years past, I had served on a few church committees with Jerry, so was not surprised at the wonderful, loving toast he gave in your honor. Below the video was a link to your "How To Feed A Loon" KZbin site, so out of curiosity, I clicked on it and landed on your Special Message from Kris and Wesley video. The mention of hemachromatosis (not sure I spelled that correctly) caught my attention, as one of my cousins died of that at age 50 several years ago, and I learned at that time that it is a hereditary disease. The other thing that caught my attention was that Wesley received his liver transplant at Baylor Hospital Dallas. My daughter-in-law developed non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver and needed a transplant. She was a patient at Baylor All Saints in Ft. Worth, and because of her young age (early 40s) was a good candidate for the transplant, but the problem was that she has a rare blood type. She had to wait two years for her transplant, and was in and out of the hospital in steadily failing health during that time. She got the call at 10:00 one morning to notify her that her name had just been put on the transplant list. At 10:30 that night, she got the call that a suitable liver had been found, and her next phone call would be when to come to Baylor Dallas. That call came at 7:30 the next morning to come immediately to the hospital, and by 11:30 a.m. she had a newly-transplanted liver. She and our whole family will be forever grateful for the excellent doctors and the whole transplant team that saved my DIL's life. Post-surgery, our family went through a range of emotions, from celebration of the successful transplant, to mourning for the family who lost a loved one in order for our loved one to live, so I understand what all you two have gone through with Wesley's transplant. It's now been four and a half years since my DIL's transplant, and we mark that anniversary every year. Best wishes to Wesley on his successful transplant and recovery!

I love hearing your story! Congratulations on your new life! My best friend was a bone marrow donor and saved a dad's life in Greece. He was an almost complete match. It took almost a year out of his life donating his own blood to put back in him duri ng the surgery. His recipient had no chance of living without my friend's bone marrow. He did survive and we are now all great friends. It was a very beautiful experience and now those kids have their daddy!

Bless your hearts for sharing your story. This retired RN sends her heartfelt thanks. My 16 year old cousin was killed by a stupid stunt with friends. My Uncle and Aunt elected to donate usable organs. This was 1972. By giving permission, they felt their son did not die. He lives on in the memories of all the recipients. May Wesley's story encouage others to make the same choice.

Snap!! Just seen your dad’s speech and wow! I reached for the tissue’s 😢 what a loving supportive dad ❤️ that lead me to this video and I truly agree, organ donation is a life saver, in Scotland (I’m not sure if it’s UK wide) you have to opt out, so everyone will be seen as a donor unless they opt out, which I think should be in all places. Good luck to the both of you and may you stay on that path, with your loving family and friends. ❤️

I just finished watching your father's wonderful and comical toast, then naturally followed up with this video. I lost my husband in 1999 from hepatic cancer. We had enjoyed 26 years of marriage, but of course this was long before same sex marriage was even possible, especially in North Carolina where we first met! My parents not only accepted Ralph into the family to make life easier for us they officially adopted him as their second son. They had adopted me when I was merely two years old and provided me with a wonderful life. Shortly after Ralph's death I again pursued my original life plan and attended seminary and was ordained a priest. I am truly happy to learn of your marriage, and hope and pray that you'll have a loving and permanent life together. May God Bless your journey always! Shona Tovah Umetuka and Merry Christmas for good measure...

You know what brought me here but I’m staying for the amazing chemistry and spirit. You two gentlemen are a terrific union and you symbolize how love is love. It’s basic and complex nature. It transcends everything and at the risk of sounding cliche, it conquers any obstacle it’s presented with. I truly mean that. Cars, houses and wealth mean nothing since our spiritual needs remain long after our physical gifts perish and our souls become eternally active with love and companionship.

I only ((THANKFULLY)) found you two about 5 months ago and this is the first time I didn't laugh through one of your videos. 💕 It's the wee hours and while most people are sleeping, I'm trying to find the chicken lasagna recipe I remember Wesley talking about once. Maybe it was chicken & spinach lasagna?.. . 🤔 I'll find out when I locate it.... In the meantime, I came across this video. I am so glad that everything worked out the way it did!! I work in the 911 dispatch in our largest city, but I used to work in a very rural 911 center where I also did DMV duties.. I was always so grateful when I'd ask someone getting their driver's license if they wanted to be an organ donor and they said YES! There were others who had to think about it.. and OMG, the questions I would get! It simply took some time reassuring them. 🤗 You guys ROCK so much!! Ok.. off to find that recipe now ~~~ xoxo

Wesley, I am a new subscriber...I saw your Phillip’s grill review...I think you are a VERY sensitive fella, but, maybe I see myself in you....we both love Good as well as positive “extra attention” on ourselves! You adore praise..I can tell by so far this video and the Phillips grill review! Hee hee hee! 😅✌🏼 It’s all good though , no worries! You both seem like a lovely couple! Glad you got your liver transplant, and were able to pass thru all of the red tape in order to be seen by the right people! Very happy you are doing well now. Hubby has been in the hospital in the past ma y times, and I was there for him. I even ended up in ER because I was sooooo worried over him....I was sicker than those folks who came in with a bad stomach flue! I was checked out later and told to go and buy Omeprezole....my stomach tends to tie up in knots when I get highly streesed out. Some years later , I learned that I had bladder cancer..I never would have caught it early IF I hadn’t asked to find out more about getting menopause and getting a recommendation from my General practitioner who gave me the name of a great gynecologist! She helped save my life! Got a sonagram and then went to a couple of urologists. Thank goodness! You and I must have some awesome angels all around us!!
