It's time Gambians know their own history, knowing this is a clear proof of who we are as people and nation.

Nice, and I will add to the aforementioned observation, my own… the Wassu circles are built from mined blocks of Laterite, which is both a soil and a rock type rich in *iron and aluminum and is commonly considered to have formed in hot and wet tropical areas. Nearly all laterites are of rusty-red coloration, because of high iron oxide content. *Iron is an excellent conductor of electricity due to its two valence electrons. Aluminium can be used in electrochemistry. Aluminium is a versatile metal that has a number of useful properties for electrochemical applications. It is a good conductor of electricity, which makes it suitable for use in various electrochemical cells and systems.

I was surprised at the questions these women were asking, after all those informations. Hair? For goodness sake!! Couldn't take a back seat and find out more about our captivity and why no one remembered whose we are? That obsession with hair things is appalling, and stupid. I can tell that the other woman standing next to the Stone man was quite annoyed, and the Tone man flabbergasted. Please don't waste that valuable man times with such trivial interviews if you don't know what to ask. Shalom

Oh no! 🥴🥴🥴 We did so much more there. This was just a snippet about hair because her school offers cosmetology. There are more videos on the purpose of my visit, which was to help write the cosmetology curriculum. We spent an entire day with him and he really took us all to another level. The language barrier in this video was real, but honestly he made sure we were well educated beyond hair. I hope this clears things up a little bit. 🥴🥴🥴 In addition, we (descendants of slavery in the states) have rarely get the opportunity to hear about the context of cornrow braids from a West African perspective. So on one note it is a lil' trivial and vain. On another note it's clarification, education and liberating. 🇬🇲 Lastly, the bulk of us were naively unaware that were were all PROBABLY descendants from West Africa, so our thirst for knowledge about things you all know and live daily, was completely NEW to us. I appreciate your honesty. ✌🏾️No harm. No foul.

It's because we're so ignorant to our original history. To your point, I was quite liberated after my discussion with him. You have no clue how African American women were (and in some instances) ostracized about their hair. Hell, 400 years since we've been freed from slavery did the United States ban hair discrimination for us African Americans. You are right, but the struggle was real..👊🏾
