A speculative cast for salmon and sea trout on my favourite river

A video I put together from a short afternoon trip to a river on the 4th September 2023. This is probably my favourite river for salmon fishing as it has so many lovely pools and the few salmon/grilse and sea trout I've had in the past have come from a variety of pools. As with all our rivers, this is Category 3 status so stocks are low - all salmon/grilse are carefully returned and often the same is done with sea trout.
I hope you enjoy the video, it was a nice hour or so and decent weather so despite drawing a blank for migratory fish, I thought some people might like to see the a bit of the river in better weather - normally it's blowing a gale / raining with drops all over the camera lens! it's a really nice stretch in my opinion.

Some lovely looking pools and runs on your rivers Matt. Maybe next year I will come to Skye in late September to try for a salmon instead of earlier in the season. Great bit of footage again. Thanks for uploading!

Beautiful small rivers you have there at least you know if there is a fish there you are covering them. Lovely brownies they seem very dark from that river i find it fascinating how they vary for river to river in their markings and colours.

Do you use barbless hooks? Sounded like the hook was ripped out of the brownie.

Tbh your Fannie around too much and taking tiddlers out of a 2ft river is beyond me
