I Just loved the peppermint segment ! My Mom was like your Nana…she had a little bag in her pocketbook with those peppermints in it…so many wonderful memories. Thanks to you and the gal who sent you all of those peppermints, LOL Merry Christmas !

When I add borders I divide my borders/quilt into quarters. It’s so much easier to know how much excess you have to ease in, and your excess is more evenly distributed

🎄☃️Merriest Christmas to you and Gregg! Those peppermint’s are my favorite Christmas candy. My mom used to put those great big candy canes in our stocking and decorated the Christmas tree with them as well. I was always the one that would steal them off of the Christmas tree 🤭😂😂And Dawn knocked her gifts out of the park! Thank you Pat for all the things you do for the quilting community… We LOVE YOU 🥰

I don't subscribe to the Sew Sampler box but already own, for many years, the Quilters Reference Guide which is my "go to" for backing, borders, binding calculations. Couldn't quilt without it!!! I also bought so much of Bev McCullough's Melody collection....FQ bundle plus a charm pack. Love Flamingo Toes!

For border strips, I match the center and also the 1/4 mark. That way it’s easier to ease in evenly. Merry Christmas 🎄

I love the fabric you chose for the front of your cross stitch pillow. Have you thought about using the darker green fabric with the ‘starburst’ type print as the back? It would give a little contrast and since you are using the pom poms, it won’t be directly against the front fabric. It might make a lovely pillow combo.

Merry Christmas, Pat and Greg! I love your videos- especially helpful watching how you choose fabrics using your stash. I had to replace my dishwasher this year and the new Bosch one is so quiet, I can hardly tell it’s on. However the new ones run so much longer- like double the time.
@jayneterry870141 минут бұрын
No worries about the dishwasher. I didnt hear a thing. Thats Greg letting you know he helps out around the house 😂👍. I use my soft tape all the time. Had a pink one but lost it along the way moving around. Your nails are pretty and santa hat. 🩷 Dawn had too much fun! 🍬 A merry Christmas to you and Greg. 🎄

I have been donating directly to World Central Kitchen, I just can’t bring in any more stuff tho. I feel your pain with adjustments at final assembly! I didn’t measure my Among the Stars Again pieced border as I went and it somehow came out an inch and a half (!) to big. I took it to the machine and increased the seam allowance for 8 seams at a time and remeasured until it was the right size. I couldn’t press open but otherwise it was fine. When there is 1/4” or so, I just clip it so the fullness is distributed, put the fuller piece on the bottom and use the even feed function on my machine. It eases in nicely. Fabric is malleable so as long as once it is done you can press it flat, it is fine. Pieced borders don’t like scant quarter inch seam allowances and over eleventy jillion seams it adds up! Usually by the time I get to the borders and assembly I am like a horse with its nose to the barn-I am heading for home and don’t want to do any extra work I might have at the beginning of the quilt!

Do you starch your fabrics? Your backs always look so good without much fraying!🥰
