Today my mind was in turmoil. My inner thoughts were wrestling 🤼 with truth. The truth I came up with is: I am a sinner in need of my savior. That’s the blunt truth. So: Lord Jesus have mercy on me, a sinner. Thank you 🙏 for loving me, your daughter. I listened to a hymn: O Sacred Head Now Wounded. My tears of sorrow came. I wiped away my tears and listened to the thunderstorm 🌩️ outside my window. I became more peaceful for the rest of the day. 😢

Wow, how extraordinary! Thank you for posting this. I’ve heard translations of this priest before. Is he a Saint in the Church by now?
@OrthodoxReach9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, I agree he is an awesome and edifying teacher. Not yet a saint I'm pretty sure, though he only reposed in 2019 and that usually happens long after.

Not yet, he died pretty recently. I remember seeing him do a Divine liturgy in a video some years backs, and it transported me, he was so Holy.

Where did you get the voice of David Attenborough?
@OrthodoxReach3 ай бұрын
It’s a standard voice on the video software. We stopped using it some months ago though, hopefully the message can still get across successfully.

If this is true. Then why did Jesus choose Peter as the man who he would build his church upon. Peter cut the guards ear off with a sword which he should not have done.
@OrthodoxReach7 ай бұрын
He didn't build his church upon Peter himself, that is a Roman Catholic contraption. The fathers, including Chrysostom and even Augustine have taught that He is indicating the rock of Peter's faith, referring to when Peter said "Thou art the the Christ..." fatherjohn.blogspot.com/2014/10/stump-priest-who-or-what-is-rock.html?m=1

Peter was in the process of becoming spiritual. He also denied Christ entirely after the ear thing, so he clearly wasn't there yet. The disciples did and said lot of things that were wrong and often didn't understand Jesus at all while He was still teaching them. None of them had reached a state of Theosis yet, and the Holy Spirit hadn't even come yet to lead them until the Day of Pentecost. These people weren't perfect and holy before Christ called them and taught them.

Too much of this religion is enter heaven enter heaven enter heaven, we have to fight to not be killed here too, why does no one teach this. This is why we must must turn from the world in order to stay alive here and preserve our spiritual life afterwards, which makes getting to heaven easier. Meow

What a load of rubbish we are human we err,perfection escapes us. Christ was troubled ,sad ,angry and perplexed but not my will but thyne Will be done Father

but Christ was never troubled, sad or angry in a worldy way...

I don't think you heard the message friend. He made that clear, yet internally we have peace. John16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
@shawnpatrick18774 ай бұрын
It's not rubbish, you simply understood none of it, nor do you understand Christ and His various reactions. No one is claiming that people don't err, but Theosis is a real thing and you should find out what that means. It makes no sense to whine and cry about it being impossible just because someone calls for you to be better.
