How to make walithalapa
ingredients
900g rice flour
500g brown sugar
1 cup coconut treacle
¼ tsp crushed cardamom
4 cups of water
Method
Add some salt to rice flour.
Mix
Now, while adding water, make tiny balls with your hands
Put the pittu mixture that you have prepared in a steamer and bring to a boil.
Now thin the pitta like this.
Heat the sugar in a pot to make the syrup.
Add cardamom now.
Now add 1 cup of water.
Add coconut treacle.
Stir the syrup until it gets a little thicker under a low flame.
Now, off the stove
Add pittu.
Turn on the stove again.
Cook on low flame while stirring.
Now put in a tray and cut into cubes.
