An homage to the Film Noir style of the late 1930s and early 1940s, this story puts us on a bloody trail of deception and despair with veteran Detective Harvey Monroe of Stanton Security, after a Huston executive is found dead alongside a mysterious stranger.
This story also takes place in the OVERCLOCKED universe, so our fans are in for a surprise or two.

Instant classic. o7 Went a little Bebop there too for a moment, and presenting it in 4:3 was bold and a cherry on the cake; The kinda cake they serve at a fancy hotel where dreams go to die and meetings take place between people who shouldn't be there, with a underbelly so crusty you could scrape it with a razor and only end up wanting to have brought power-tools. I'd like to say I refused, I'd like to tell you this is how the story ends. I'd like to tell you I didn't end up with frosting fingers and no napkins wishing I had an ounce of self-control. Three gins later and ol Velvet and I found our way into the bathroom....

@@spacebully It wasn't your average kind of bathroom, not the kind that smells of stale urine and desperation, no, this one had a refined aroma to it. The kind of scent that speaks of too many nights spent on a 890 Jump, the type of waft that looks down at you and scoffs. The tiling was expensive, not in a "I'm wealthy" kind of expensive, rather the "probably handcrafted by a mason that you can't afford to talk to, so you couldn't even begin to understand how little you can afford this" kind of expensive. The copper and matte executive black lined the walls, the faucets sparkled as if they were installed an hour ago, and probably were...

10/10 on this Mate. Love the opening homage to Blade Runner. The colour grading, story and character accents fitted superbly to the Noir style. The emote with the glass breaking sound was very nice. Well done. 👌

Tremendous voice acting, writing, very tasty editing. Damn, the music editing is outstanding. I felt like the classic Noir genre's hallmark is very contrasty shadow and light, which you have managed to recreate really well but I would have liked to see a little more of that deep shadow in some of the shots. But I'm old and grew up with Film Noir classics on TV.... 9.99/10 would walk down a dark alley again...
