No thanks, buff. I like my knees and testicles the way they are. Not burned to shit. New Yorker saved my head from getting caved in a few times, but if I had worn what I was wearing when I joined the department, I would have been incinerated. Fifty times over.

Chicago wore 3/4 up until 2006. I've got a set I use for training nights I've done my vehicle rescue class with 3/4 boots because I asked if I could.

@nick smith kept my boots, too. Snow shoveling and when my basement floods. It took Kevin Kane and the Watts Street Fire to really get departments to wake up to bunker gear in my area of NY
