The film deeply touched my heart as it sheds light on the harsh realities faced by today's generation. I thank Tibet Times for highlighting these issues which are often overlooked. However, I’m also disappointed regarding some of questions asked to them. A part from prostitutions, they also shed light on pressing issues like substance abuse and domestic violence, which were unfortunately overlooked. Instead of focusing on trivial matters such as customer count or earnings, it would have been more meaningful to ask about their safety, protection, current trends, and, most importantly, how the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) could extend support in overcoming these issues. To these two girls, we hear you. Giving this interview must have not been an easy decision for you both. However, your decision to speak up and contribute to the conversation is commendable, as it helps bring attention to the challenges faced by the Tibetans in the diaspora. Thank you for your bravery and for your commitment to creating a better and safe future for all🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Its shooted in MT. And its shameful being a Tibetan Communities as could not help distitutes women. Some body come up to help distitutes needy persons and get help from CTA. Those who are distitutes don't know where to go and where to asked. We should have helping desk for needy persons every where in the Tibetan communities. I am ready to donate for the cause of eridicate the prostitutions.

OMG !! The way the interviewer asks these girls questions is ridiculous; Isn't there a better way to ask questions respectfully or use better Tibetan vocabulary? You need to change the headline( sex worker ). The girls kept saying they were addicted to drugs; ( due some circumstances); there might be a better way to make headlines. I feel so sorry for what these girls went through, but you need to empathize with them rather than ask derogatory questions. Please make the changes.

May these 2 fellow Tibetans find themselves in their challenging time. Life is all about giving a second chance for yourself and knowing the true meaning of life. There might be many others like them, and this is a call for all of us, especially parents, friends, and family, to be better parenting and responsible for the children. Thank you, Tibettimes, for coming up with this episode. Knowing what's going on in our society is a must, and it's nice that you covered this episode . *it would be nice if the reporter could use alternative words for some uncomfortable usage of words and ask in an empathetic manner. Thank you, tibettimes

Worst reality: student who passed out from VTC spa and their are most of students, from poor families or no families. I hope the students get more good education system, not only till training but till they get proper job. It is very sad to hear such stories. I guess I knew this girl and yes she was not like that at the beginning. I hope young and not so mature students who families are in Tibet, shouldn’t be send to big cities for training. I hope u two get lots of strength to recover and come out with better results in life . I’m proud that u two are addressing it and want to change.

The problem is our government is doing everything they can to help but 70% depends on the person and their decision. From the interview u can tell that they regret their decisions. Controlling ur self is hard which is what nowadays youngster needs to control . I have friends who smokes and drink a lot even of their friends and family tell them to stop , they won’t .

Mental health is the core issue. It’s frustrating how some girls in our community aren’t able to come out of toxic relation just in the name of “tsewa”, “kho nyingjeh, he has no one else” when in real youre the one who needs help and get out of it before it gets too late. We are all taught from childhood to care more for others and put ourself at the most behind. But you cant help others if you’re empty inside. There is often no sense of responsibility for one own self. Look out for your well being and only then you can think of others. Please stand up for yourself and get legal help if necessary.

Life is not easy. It’s not easy if you are struggling with addiction It’s all about evolution. The strong survive. It’s not just about physical strength. it is more about mental strength. Thanks a lot for sharing such a sad story. This sad experience was all due to lack of child care services by parents and teachers in our society. It may be hard to see because the path to recovery is difficult. But please know you are not walking alone The hands of help are reaching out to you with your every step. My prayers are always both to overcome from this situation. May Budha bless you always.

This proper interview made me think about Parenting channel in our Tibetan community... when they were getting into this addiction they were really young .. they should have taken cared instead of lurking toward favorite tibetan Place called Chigyal ( ABROAD) ... And Since i am serving in Army and have seen my friends getting into these things and passing number of those Ladies who are into this.. Its a request to all the Dhanglop Mangmi please if you are escorting then please Give them the Respect they deserve.. they are someone's Daughter, Someone's Sister 🙏

Tibet Times, although this coverage is a great way to shed light into one of the many ground realities Tibetan diaspora faces, it is worthwhile to research well into such sensitive topics and absolutely realign the focus towards using neutral terms that wouldn't harm these strong women's moral who have boldly come forward with their stories for the younger generations to come. It is pretty shocking, honestly seeing the journalist invovled in this interview brazenly using derogatory terms. Please be more sensitive next time when covering such issues. Kudos to the two women. I hope you will rise above the rest in your near future.

Yes, be respectful and kind towards all but no need to empower and normalize such things. Do you know how most of the prostitutes end up in life? We can empathize with them or better still offer help and other alternatives but this is not their choice so why you want to empower that? Don't equate the western women's my body, my choice rally to these girls who would leave the job in a split second if they had the choice.

Very poor journalism. It’s like throwing salt in their wound. The way the “reporter” asked the questions, the way questions were framed are very unprofessional and downright rude. Please do better. Just because you have a camera and a work at a journalism house doesn’t make you a true reporter/ journalist. The other person is a human too no matter their job. Also you could have shed light on the root cause of prostitution and drug abuse and how we as a society is failing the young Tibetan girls, school, institution and government, we are all failing when young girls resort to this kind of job. You could have asked their opinion on how we could have helped them but no. You just want sensational topic to make video on. Did you help them after wards making the video ? Asked for help from Tibetan women association or CTA. What did you actually do to help them alleviate their suffering ? Just really curious.

The respect for these girls will start from civil societies like press and media. But when the media itself uses such derogatory words, I don’t see much hope in social change. The interviewer needs to apologise publicly.

First of all, i would like to request one thing to "Tibet Times"! That before writing the title of the video, think carefully! We are not yet Independent country and the title of this video is written in both Tibetan and English language. So to whom you are publicity this title?? To the world?? The whole video is speaking in Tibetan. No need to be so much modernized. Those two girls are not willing to show her face. Give them a psychology support and advice to come out of from their situation. One word can hurt unknowingly to their relatives!

Why are you calling sex workers only for those two girls ? What you are calling for those boys who cooperate with these two girls . Because girls are selling and boys are buying so that they both are doing business like one for money and one for enjoyment. What difference between these two girls and those who buyers of these two girls. Why only words of སྨད་འཚོང་མ་་for girls and not for boys in our Tibetan society .I think we need to discover new words like སྨད་ཉོ་པ་for those boy who buy girls by giving money for their enjoyment.

Where’s Tibetan women’s association? Rather than preaching feminism and woke culture of west in our Tibetan settlement and families, they should address these issues.

it’s a very sensitive society matter! and though, you still need to respect them with dignity, compassionate and understanding! no one on this earth freely want to sell their body & soul for their every day needs!! my respect to those people for facing such kinds of jobs!! this man during whole interview using the disrespectful word which is so unnecessary “ shang-tsong” 😞😞😞… it’s kind of quite disgusting!!!

I would disagree, the issues they deal with did not start from bad habits but because of situations at home, in the family like abandonment.
