Its basically a Streamdeck but in a Rack :) And a software that allows one person to manage multiple peoples setup and some cool routing software. but glad you like it.

I'm confused what the goal of PoE was with this - does it not connect via usb?

While it works over usb it connects to companion and buttons over the network directly without any usb so that's where Poe makes sense

These are marketed towards Television Production. If they were powered via USB no one would buy them...

Curious, what Part Confused you? It is a bit confusing, especially with how much Bitfocus Buttons and the Streamdeck Studio are developed to work together.
