i think u r currently in 11nth or 12th…but still i want to answer that..in the question it is given “50.0cm” and we dont have any clue that where the lens is being kept…so we required a comman point from which we can justify the dimensions…its kinda same in maths…when we are given to prove a diagram then we have to do some “constructions”…although those werent given in the ques but for proving it is required….BTW Awhat was ur score in science?
