Really interesting video! You really know your stuff I'm wondering what the insistence on pleather is here? Isn't plastic made to look like leather that wears out faster worse than leather, which is made once, lasts for decades and biodegrades? Genuine question.

I feel like they ruined the Clique movie with the fashion in it. The fashion is so iconic in the books, they spend so much time going over everything that the girls are wearing each day down to the brands and none of it is this Disney Channel style that is shown in the film. I mean, Dylan in a fedora??? Are you kidding me? (Don’t even get me started on her weight in the movie, why cast a girl who is as skinny as the other girls when basically her whole character revolves around her struggle with her weight??) Alicia has my favorite style in the books, always wearing “Ralph” because Ralph Lauren was a friend of her dad’s. In the movie she doesn’t look preppy/ old money at all :(
