A summer walk and things I look at. 8-8-2019

Hi! Friends! ... Over the past several months I have been making some video clips. In this video I put a few of the video clips together from this summer.
Before I forget!... I better get this disclaimer out of the way first. ... I claim no ownership, or rights to any of the wonderful songs in this video. .... Being sung by birds. Ha! Ha!
It has been a warm, and humid summer here. There have been more storms, and rain then normal, making it a record year for snow, and rain. A lot of areas have had problems with storm damage, and flooding this summer.
The video clips with the flowers on the end of this video I made last evening after a thunder storm let up. You can still hear the thunder in the background.
I apologize for my video editing skills. I am a guy of many talents. But making quality videos is not one of my talents. Ha! Ha!

The weather is cloudy and a little bit above freezing today. It is too early to get snow here, but we got some snow a few days ago. So I put my lawnmower away, and got out the snow shovels. Hi! Thank you for your nice comments! .. It is cool to watch the baby turtles after they hatch. I like to catch them and put them in the swamp so they are safe. It is hard to believe that summer is already over with.The leaves are pretty much off of the trees now. The weather is cloudy, and a little bit above freezing today. Hi! Suzi! .. Happy summer to you too! Thank you for your nice comment! ... It has been raining a lot here. I have been lucky that the bad storms have been missing where I live. But Bear an I have taken a lot of walks in the rain. Sometimes we even sing in the rain! Ha! Ha! (only when we drink Catnip whiskey! Ha! Ha!) All of the trees and weeds are really growing extra fast. Usually this time of the year it is so dry, and forest fires can be come a problem. If it dries out next summer a lot of trees will probably suffer with all of the new growth if they don't get enough water. I have seen a lot of baby snakes, frogs, birds, raccoon's an possums this summer. The rain helps make food for them all to eat. The young raccoon's are so cute. I put some food out for them. Then if Bear sees them through the door at night he woof's, and they zoom up a tree. I hope the weather has been good over your way, and you and your family are having a nice summer. Gee Mike, sorry I didn't realise you had made another great video … You sure had heavy snowfall in winter and bet you are enjoying warmer weather now! Love the cute Ninja Turtle peering out from under her shell. : ) Enjoyed sharing your walk in the forest with Bear, everything looks lush and green after all the rain you have had. Very sorry to hear neighbours dog was killed in house fire last year very sad, Bear would sure miss her! Great thing you did for the Turtle`s eggs making special screen cover to protect them from the raccoons and possums`! Gee your moonflowers look lovely Mike! I will have to plant more of the seeds you gave as with extreme dry and hot summer last year others didn`t survive. I did get couple of years with them flowering well though. Hi! Angeline! Thank you for your nice comments! .. The turtles, and frogs are did good this summer with all of the rain. They are hibernating for the winter now. I cleaned out my pond, and let the frogs go in the swamp so they could bury in the mud for winter. Today it is cloudy, and a few degrees above freezing. A few days ago it snowed a few inches, but it is mostly melted now. It don't normally snow for another month here. This morning I got my snow blower machine running good so I will be ready for a big snow storm. Bear likes the snow. He still thinks he is a puppy and runs an jumps in the snow. The doctor did a MRI on my back. I didn't like being in the MRI machine, it made me feel panicky. They found that I have a bad herniated disk that is pinching the Sciatica nerve. They didn't want to do an operation, and said I should give it time to see if it will heal. Laying on my back, and applying heat to my back over the last month has helped a lot. So I am been getting around a lot better now. I try not to over do it. Just do some stuff, then take a rest break. So I have to take it easy with my fast dancing. Ha! Ha! I hope your seeds sprout good, and grow large plants for you. The Moonflowers I had growing made a lot of seeds. So I saved a whole bunch of seeds. ... Sorry I took so long to answer this note. Mike that was a very enjoyable video, but you confused me at the beginning of this video seeing all that snow, and then the Tortoise, or was it a turtle lol, as they are normally long into hibernation before the snow arrives, but then i read the video description saying this video was of various video clips.. Looks so nice there Mike, just watching this video made me feel relaxed and calm, and that's just what i need at the moment.. Anyway excellent video my friend, hope you are all doing good there.. Hi! Thank you for your nice comments and kind wishes! .. I am not sure if there is any Truffle growing around here. My Dog Bear is smelling all of the other animal scents. There are a lot of deer, raccoons, and other kinds of animals living in the forest here, and Bear likes trying to figure out where they all have walked. Soon there will be snow on the ground. Then Bear has to bury his nose in the snow to smell them. I would think his nose would freeze, but it don't. Ha! Ha! .. I hope you are having a great week. How do you save moon flower seeds? Good to see a video again!

Hi Gary! .. Thank you for your nice comment! ... To save the seeds I just lay them on a piece of cardboard, and let them air dry in my workshop. Sometimes when I plant a bunch of the seeds, only a few will sprout. I have heard that if a person freezes them it seasons them, and they sprout better. I haven't tried that, but it seems that the seeds that fall on the ground, and spend all winter outside sprout better. In a warmer area the roots will re-sprout in Spring. But it gets to cold here and hard freezes the roots an kills them. I have had the ones near the warm building re sprout in the Spring. I hope you have a good weekend! Hi! Elden! ... Thank you for your nice comments! .. Sorry I didn't answer your note sooner. I haven't been on U Tube much because I hurt my back a few months ago, and It was very painful sitting, or trying to walk. I have spent a lot of time laying on my back with a heating pad. A disk herniated, and was pinching my Sciatica nerve. So I haven't been able to do much this summer. I am feeling some better now, so I have been getting around causing trouble again. Ha! Ha! I hope you and your family aren't close to any of those fires. They look pretty scary. My Grandson, and Granddaughter live by one of the fires, and they had to evacuate there home. I think the fire fighters got the fire under control before it got to their house. Time is sure going by fast. Summer is done here. Last week we got a few inches of snow. Strange weather. It is strange to get snow before Thanksgiving. This summer we have had a lot of rain and storms. That is how I hurt my back, cutting up a big oak tree with my chain saw that the storm blew onto the road in front of my house. Guess i am getting to old to be doing that stuff. Ha! Ha! @@ilikoldies Mike I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. Yes time does fly by And the older we get Are bodies don't cooperate the way they used to. Every so often I get a little hitch in my get along. Lol. My wife was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago and still off work dealing with the aftermath. But she should be able to get back to it soon. Been busy helping her along with it But I had videos sitting around ready to be released. So it looks like I'm trucking along on KZbin too haha. Well I hope you are feeling even better b4 the holidays roll around, Enjoying a hot cup of tea and watching the snow fall. The fires weren't close to us, but I do know people that were, and they all made it through safe. It has been cold weather here for being Fall time. We already had some snow, and now they are saying there could be an inch or two by tomorrow. It is sunny this morning, and 30 degrees. Bear just walked me around the forest so he could sniff out all of the animal trails. He zig zags all over the place. If someone was watching us walk they would think I had been drinking. Ha! Ha! Hi! Angeline! Thank you for your nice comments, and Christmas wishes! .. I am glad you got my card. Your Christmas card came in the mail yesterday! Very nice! Thank you! ... There's not to much new or exciting going on here. It has been very cold, and snowy. There is snow on the ground now, and it was 0 degrees F. last night. Burrrr. Today it is sunny and 2 degrees above zero. It is suppose to warm up a bit above freezing next week. On the bright side. The cold weather, and the snow puts me in the Christmas mood. Ho! Ho! ... Especially when I look in the mirror.... I feel just like Santa... Old and gray! Ha! Ha! ..... As far as I know everyone here is doing good. Bear and Kitty are still doing good. Bear makes sure I get my exercise every day by walking me in the forest. My heart is doing ok. It aches once in a while, but I suppose just to remind me that it is there. Ha! Ha! My back is hurting a lot less than it was, and I am walking better than I was. I have been being careful, and watching what I do so as not to make it hurt bad. The doctor didn't want to do back surgery at this point. She wanted to wait an see how much things could get better on there own. Probably a good idea with my heart problems and all. ... So.... I suppose if I was to do Santa Clause stuff on Christmas eve I should get some help on the roof tops with all the presents, and the reindeer. LOL! ... Going down the chimney's to get cookies, an hot chocolate will be a killer on my back! Ha! Ha! I haven't been on u tube as much as I use to be. But I did hear from Bob's wife Amanda about a month or there about's ago. I guess Bob and family are all doing ok. That's good to hear. They are always nice people, and friendly. ....Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! .... I hope you and your family are doing well, and all have a wonderful Christmas, and a Great New Year! Hi! Amanda, and Bob, and your family! .. Thank you for your nice comment! .. I hope you all have been doing good and are getting ready to enjoy the holiday season. It is amazing how fast summer has flown by. It already snowed a few inches here a few nights ago. Most of it has melted now, so I can't make any snow men yet. Ha! Ha! Bear still likes snow, and likes to sniff in the snow. I am glad I don't have that habit because my nose gets cold enough without doing that. Ha! Ha! For the most part my family and I are doing ok. My heart stuff has been doing ok. A few months ago I was playing lumberjack and hurt my back. One of the storms blew a big dead oak tree in the road in front of my house. So I thought I would act like a young guy, and saw it up with my chain saw so the cars could get through. ....well long story short I blew a disk in my lower back, and it pinched the Sciatica nerve for my leg. ouch! ouch! So I spent the last half of summer on my back with a heating pad. Now I am cooked well done. Ha! Ha! Hummm.m.... Suppose my backside might look like one of those monkeys with the red butts. Ha! Ha! I went to the doctor and they did a MRI on my back. That was a first time experience with a MRI for me. When they put me in that big machine I almost climbed out of my skin with a kind of a panic attack feeling. I made it through it. But I told the doctor if they ever put me inside of that machine again they better give me some calm me down pills. Or shoot me in the backside with a tranquilizer dart. Ha! Ha!. ....anyhow after all of that they said I should let it try to heal my disk's on there own before they consider an operation. Over the last month it has gotten lots, an lots better, but I am still careful when I fast dance and do the twist. Ha! Ha! These "Golden Years" sure aren't as much fun as they said they would be. But through it all I have kept my sense of humor. Ha! Ha! Other that ole guy aches and pains there isn't to much new, or exciting with me. ... That reminds me of something. When I was a young guy I use to laugh about old guys always talking about their aches, and pains......I see I do that now, so I must be officially an old guy. Ha! Ha! Woof! woof! Bear is trying to help me type with his nose again. I suppose I better take him or his morning walk now. After all of these years he still hasn't figured out how to type. When he presses strange keys, and weird stuff happens to my computer. Ha! Ha! ... I am happy to hear from you guys. I was thinking about you all a few days ago, and wondering how you were doing. I watched the girls Christmas video, that was so nice. It always touches a place in my heart. Hope they are doing good, and having fun in school. Bet they are all getting big now. Hi! Venniey! Thank you for your nice comments, and the Happy Birthday greetings! .. You are right. Bear sure likes to sniff everything when we take our walks. He even sniff's car tire tracks when we walk out by the road. When it snows he buries his nose in the snow and sniff's for things under the snow. Ha! Ha! I haven't been on u tube very much. last summer I hurt my back and it has been difficult to sit, and type notes. I am feeling better now. So I am able to do more things. The white flowers have a long scientific name. Sometimes they are called Angel's Trumpets. I call them Moonflowers because that is what my friend called them when he gave the seeds. From what I am told the seed pods, and flowers can be toxic. So I am careful when I handle them. I like to grow the plants because they are a hearty plant, and easy to grow. And the plants remind me of my friend who has passed a few years ago. The weather here has been cold. We had a few inches of snow last week. It normally don't snow for another month. It is hard to believe summer is done now. It won't be long and it will be Christmas. Time sure is going by fast. I hope you are doing good, and have a nice weekend. Hi! Stephen! Thank you for your nice comment! ... I agree when it is summer time a person kind of forgets how much snow was here not that long ago. When the mosquitoes are biting me then I miss the snow. Ha! Ha! I haven't felt much like doing videos for a while now. I started making videos and never uploaded them. So I kind of mixed a winter flash back, some Spring time, and summer all in this video. Ha! Ha! The forest is amazingly quite when there are so many animals living in it. They usually hear Bear an I coming so they hide or head the opposite direction. Every once in a while I do get a scary creepy feeling at night when I take Bear out. Because I can't run very fast or far. Ha! Ha! .... I have lived here for around 20 years and have never had a problem with the animals. It seems when I don't bother the animals, they don't bother me. I put out some food for them, and grew lots of berries for them. ... I suppose it is people that a person has to wonder about now days. My youngest daughter is up your way in Canada this week visiting with some friends she knows. She posted some pictures, and it looks like a pretty area. Her friends are in a band that plays Irish kind of music. I am not sure where they live, and I can't remember the name of there group. But they are popular. She met them at Summer Fest in Milwaukee, and they are very nice people. ... That is a bad thing about me getting old. I keep forgetting details about stuff. Ha! Ha! Now I am feeling better, so I can sit, and type notes. I live in central Wisconsin in the U.S. In this area we get all kinds of different weather, and the weather can change fast. Summer is done now, and winter is getting started. It snowed a few inches last week. We normally don't get snow for another month. About the only good thing about the snow is that it gets rid of the biting bugs. Ha! Ha! The weather here has been different than normal for a while now. @@asankaw1 Hi! .. I just made a quick visit to your channel, and subbed your channel. I see you have a lot of good fun videos with your furry friends. I see you get your share of snow and winter weather too. My dog Bear is fun to watch, because he loves to run, and jump in the snow. When it gets really deep he plays, and hides in the deep snow. Ha! Ha! This summer it has been very rainy, and humid here. It felt like I was living in a tropical rain forest. Ha! Ha! It is amazing how much, and how fast the weather can change here. I don't mind cooler temperatures, because I have heart problems, and the cooler dry air is a lot easier for me to breathe then the humid air. Until it gets below zero F. .... Thank's again! @@ilikoldies OH i see.. well the weather here is pretty dry.. well not bad as long as it wont dry the skin off lol.. My dog Boo Boo has a skin allergy due to dry weather...so she is on medication for the rest of her doggie life i guess.. poor girl.. she came from a tropical island to a dry cold zone.. not really fun for the girl.. but life has its own plans..lol.. thank you very much for subbing .. i did yours too..

@@asankaw1 Hi! again! .. Pets for Boo Boo. I hope it doesn't bother he to much. pet pet. Sometimes changes in weather and humidity can be difficult to adjust to. When I was a young guy my family moved from Wisconsin to Tennessee. It can be very hot and humid in Tennessee. We lived there for a few years. Then moved back to Wisconsin. When I was a kid I use to like the hot, and humid weather down south. Now hot weather makes me melt. Ha! Ha! Yo are welcome, and Thank's for subbing! Hope you have a nice evening. Hi! Trish and the party cats! Thank you for your nice comment, and the thumbs up! .. I thought I better upload something before summer was gone. I started to make this video in winter, then in the beginning of June. I didn't feel like finishing it because I haven't been into making videos anymore.... Last evening when I saw all of the flowers open I thought I would make a video of them, and mix it with the other videos I had started. I have to keep my videos under 15 minutes, so I had to edit a lot of stuff out. U Tube won't let me make a video longer then 15 minutes because I didn't give them a cell phone number. That sure is a bunch of hog wash. oink ink! Ha! Ha! Hog wash is a silly expression I haven't used in a long time. Ha! ha! But I suppose it's good they won't let me make longer videos because they would put everyone asleep. LOL! ..... But I did keep the video under 15 minutes. It goes 14 minutes and 56 seconds! 4 seconds to spare! Ha! Ha! I have wondered what Bear is thinking when he waits for his dogie friend Skittles. It is like he still sees here there. Bear has a very good memory, and a lot of emotions. I talk to him a lot so he understands a lot. Today the weather was perfect! In the mid 70's and low humidity. One of those days when I feel like laying in the grass and taking a nap... The only problem I would probably get sand fleas. Ha! Ha! Thanks for the warning. I will be on the lookout for Stimpy. I suppose now that I said "Hog Wash" I can only image what prank's he will have planned for me tomorrow! Ha! Ha! ....I hope you and the guys have a good weekend!
