Good video, and loved the music. Husband a BOI, we lived there for 10 years till we bought a house on the Mainland. While I would never wish to live there again(for various reasons)I still enjoy visiting there. Lots of neat places to shop and eat, and many entertainment events during the year. Seaweed is a seasonal thing, and if left in place, it serves as a natural sand retainer. So, do you get rid of it to please the tourists, or leave it to save the beaches? I stayed at the Hotel Galvez, and it was awesome! And every town and city has its poorer and richer sides of town, Galveston is no different. Galveston is a great tourist community. I would recommend it to everyone.

I love living in Galveston. Much prefer living here than visiting. To each his own. So much history, culture, incredible food, and southern homes. I'll never leave.

Think smaller New Orleans. Beautiful southern architecture, wonderful old city. Beautiful areas, and lots of bad spots. Just know where you're going to live and think NOLA greatness and NOLA issues - you'll love it.

Most of the areas he drove through are considered nice or decent areas trust me galvestons real real bad neighborhood is north of Broadway all that over there from 25th to 53rd is creepy as hell.I'm going to visit g town soon I love it.thanks for posting the video.

I used to go to a support group on Church St. at night. then you'd have to park down the street (because of no parking spots) and walk. Scary.

Just because it has history doesn't hide the fact that it looks depressing San Francisco has lots of history, and it doesn't look depressing at all
@thomasheermans20768 жыл бұрын
You don't know what it looks like. Beautiful place. San Fransisco is disgusting, and the history is not similar.

Looks quite depressing to me

Plus, viewing this place from the air, it looks like Manhattan, without all of the talk buildings Plus, San Francisco has the biggest park in the US, the fog is beautiful in certain areas, viewing San Fran from Alcatraz is just beautiful

July 8, 2013, media reports parking meters being installed on the seawall, will cost you a dollar an hour to park. They keep trying to kill tourism
@sunflowerroark51705 жыл бұрын
The issue I have is how you have to pay. If you just had to drop change in the meter that is okay.

Galveston always looks so drab and depressing. I used to go to a psychologist who was on Mechanic St, then went to another on Church St. in those old houses.

I know what you mean, it probably wouldn't be for me either to be honest, it's interesting to look at from the safety of KZbin and Galveston certainly has got a fascinating history, I believe the legendary boxer Jack Johnson was born there way back in 1878 and there are other legends that were born there too, so there's that but I'd rather be where I am, even though it's poor where I live too Lol, I guess it's better the devil you know, it just depends on each individual really, some people might love Galveston, it's a personal choice that people have to make, at the end of the day you go by how you feel, if you go to a place and you don't feel right, it probably isn't right for you, if it feels right for you then it probably is right for you, it's as simple as that really.
