A Super Fun Day At Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park | Orlando Water Park Week

Today's vlog is episode 2 of the Orlando Water Park Week here on the channel. We want to take you to all of the major Orlando water parks and at the end of the week we'll give our rankings! We had a great time at Typhoon Lagoon today. We were able to ride everything in just a couple of hours and then we did it all again, which was awesome! We had lunch and hang out in the wave pool for a bit. This wave pool is intense and so much fun! All in all we had a really good time! Thanks for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

I think the main difference between Typhoon Lagoon and Volcano Bay is that Typhoon is a MUCH older park (Opened in 1989) so it was built with older waterpark technology and is very limited in that way. Volcano Bay is a brand new, state of the art, "water-theme" park so their rides are going to be much better. I personally like Typhoon's theming better because the slides are designed to blend into the rock around them whereas at Volcano Bay the slides are brightly colored tubes held up by support beams.

Completely agree! Volcano bay looks very cool, but all the slides are brightly colored and held up by support beams, not sliding down a mountain like Forums Disney's water parks. When it comes to theme, Disney is without a doubt on the top. You can see the surrounding streets and great at volcano bay from all the slides, and the back of the volcano is exposed steel!

OoWeE Comics well I enjoy Disney more every single time and universal less. At this point I just go to universal to go to Harry Potter and ride the Spider-Man ride, and then I'm good.

Disney is a rip-off and highly overrated. Literally any of the Universal or Seaworld parks are more fun and better priced.

@Alex Mulvihill yeah all you do in Disney is walk 10 miles and ride shitty rides that you would normally pay $2 at a carnival. All the rides are boring and aimed at the under 10 crowd. For a park that charges so much they don't even have one proper roller coaster, NOT ONE! Disney is for obese people who eat junk food and have little sense of nutrition. It's a cult of morons lol there are tons of better parks. Six Flags, Cedar Point, etc....

Definitely seems like the Disney water parks are more geared toward kids where it does seem like Volcano Bay is more for older kids and adults (much like their respective theme parks).

I mean Typhoon was built in the last 80s and Blizzard Beach was built in the the 90s. Ride technoology has come a long way a since then.

So my wife and I have been watch The trackers for a long time now and we went back and try to find the very first Tim Trackers video we ever watched and this was the one! I was looking for water park impressions for my first trip to Orlando. We have been hooked ever since. We went to Florida for the first time a year ago. Our visits to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach were the best and most memorable parts of the holiday! We regularly revisited the parks and your points on immersion are spot on! Disney really does go all-out to create a whole experience, not just water slides and pools. I can't understand peoples comments (dirty toilet) on this park, they really are magical. I'd love to revisit them ASAP! This video has brought back some amazing memories, thanks :-)

I loved Typhoon Lagoon! We rented an umbrella and I thought it was worth every penny. My only complaint was with the family ride. It was just my 6 year old daughter and I. Carrying that raft was extremely challenging! The cast member commented, “well that’s why it’s a family ride” Which I responded “this is my family”. It was great to see you enjoying all the rides!!! I just found your page and am already addicted!!! Gets me excited for our next trip!!!

I've said this once before but Tim if you rub some rain-x on the lens of the go pro you will have zero issues with water drops and the foggy lens...

Great point, I have done it with my Sony ActionCam before a vacation, but did the waterproof case, not the actual camera lens. The first time you need to put it on, then remove per the direction. Then repeat one more time just to really get the lens on the case covered comeletely and well.

Great thing about Typhoon or blizzard is that it's geared for everyone, generally zero wait to do anything ever. I will never wait in line at a water park for more than 10 minutes.

I agree that the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon is usually very crowded. almost uncomfortably crowded. I enjoy the wave pool. very fun place for kids of all ages.

Disney should make a drop water slide (like the one inside Krakatoa in Volcano Bay) inside Miss Tilly, a few more intense slides and an intense lazy river (also like at Volcano Bay)! That would be great 👍!

I don't think I'd spend the money to wait in a virtual line for 3+ hours and go on maybe three rides the whole day if I can go to a water park with a little less thrilling rides and ride as much as I want. I think the 2 star average review of Volcano Bay has a point. This video especially showed how well thought out Typhoon Lagoon is. You hardly have to wait and there is other stuff for you to do too. I went there as a kid and still have great memories about it.

Best themed water park in the world, followed by Blizzard Beach. Has anyone seen Volcano bay? Looks super cool, props to Universal, but the back side of that beautiful volcano is open steel! That's Universal for yah. Kick in a younger "thrill edge" appeal, make a great product, but consistently falls short on the supremacy of Disney. Kudos to Uni, just calling it as it is. If you're talking theme, Disney is the insane OCD stoner champ, they are nuts!! Luv it too. Lol

Going to the water parks in the winter is ideal. I went to typhoon lagoon in December 2016 on a trip and we had the Mickeys very merry Christmas party that night so we went to the water park. We did everything we wanted to do and still had time to spare. We did not have to wait for anything. It was very fun so I recommend going to the water parks in the winter.
