That is awesome. ive always hated just throwing air stones away knowing that there should be some way to save them and they will just end up in a landfill somewhere.

Just be careful using air from compressor as it can have oil in the air then passed into your tank. I would recommend using an inline air filter if using an air compressor great tip too.

The thought of forcing air through them hasn’t occurred to me before. I generally avoid air stones as the pumps are just noisy.

I have . But never tried since I'm a novice and never seen it before on the journey fish people. So I thought it may have been taboo. Go figure

I have one of those air diffuser hose things and I notice it's not putting out bubbles all the way to the surface and it only does when I lift it up closer to the surface. I don't have an air compressor. I tried soaking it in Vinegar and water which somebody suggested and that didn't really increase the bubbles. Is there another way to unclog it? I do have a hand push pump for wheelchair cushion. Would that work?
@FishmanEricRussell2 жыл бұрын
Any compressed air should help. Getting enough pressure is the only requirement. Jack & Dan use a bike pump and find it works well. Please let me know how it goes

Hello. Can you also help me to know how much bubble speed should i keep in air stone pump?

There is no real amount. It just comes down to what you like the look of.

I have an air-stone that’s built into a tank decoration…it started burning a big bubble a other second, it’s loud and probably annoys the fish too. What’s the cause for this and how can I address is ? Thanks for any suggestions.
@FishmanEricRussell2 жыл бұрын
There are some tricks, but without knowing what the stone is made of it is hard to suggest anything. If you could email a quick vid to me that would also help. fishmanericrussell@gmail.com

What are the point of these air stones in a fish tank? Is it just the same thing as a bubbler basically? Is it just to provide air bubbles? Please let me know cause im wondering if i need this for my fishtank
