the issue with snell is that most of his at bats end in a strikeout or walk. he relies on nasty stuff and when it doesnt work it ends in a walk or a big hit. the result is that his pitch count gets high early. he throws too many pitches getting strikeouts and walks. if all he did was throw strikes for weak grounders he would probably be more reliable and go deeper into games. the nasty stuff is impressive and beautiful to watch. but his pitching style just isnt practical because of how dependent he is on the swing and miss and what that does to his pitch count.

Great game against the Dodgers! I’d say mostly sell, interested to see what offers you get. Of course be buyers if there is a smart move, but nothing that’s a “win-now” move. Just my thoughts. Great episode!

I honestly think you should make a big splash at the Trade Deadline, but by the looks of the season. I think you should trade away some of the more expensive and valuable guys for some young prospects who could become valuable.

Great video per usual! Personally I’d look to sell here at the deadline, but you don’t need to dismantle the core. Keep a good lineup around JHL to make sure he’s still doing well with people around him. Giants are in a Retool not a rebuild 🫡
