GFS fits this pattern. With a ridge out west to far west. We have a broad trough in the east. Wouldn’t surprise me if this threat becomes more of a southern slider.

Hi Travis, I am on Christian Island in Georgian Bay, it was snow-globe effect here for a solid 18 hours, I now have 2 feet of snow to shovel in my driveway, and it's heavy.

It is very difficult even at the Jersey Shore to get a snowstorm especially since our Winter pattern isn't like it use to be.

Travis, happy holidays. Lake Erie Lake Effect: In Fairview PA just west of Erie, 1/4 mile off of the lake, over 24 inches in the back yard. So much snow, we couldn't get to the gamelans for first day of deer season. Nice video!

I live in harbor springs up in northern michigan and we got a couple inches last nite.we had to drive to Gaylord michigan last nite and got stuck there.they got a couple feet.l 75 north last nite was not plowed at all and there was probably close to 2 feet of snow on the interstate..got to love winter in northern michigan

I remember growing up in CT we use to get SLAMMED. We got 3 1/2 ft back in like 2013 in one storm. I use to the work at our local mountain and we had a nice base from December-March now they barely have anything to work with it’s sad. I swear since that we’ve been getting more and more rain! I really thought this cold blast would be sending the snow our way and the models all show snow but the totals all just say nothing for us, local weather is saying nothing either for a week but I’m seeing snow on the euro and GFS! I want this decade drought be overrr

1 degree this morning in NW Wisconsin. All the lake effect is NE of us. We only get lake effect if we have a NE wind but we can get some big enhanced system snow from Superior if the wind is right.

@trobwx we want it. It's just so dependent on where the freeze line and storms set up . When my parents were alive we would travel straight up 95 to my old home in bucks county 90 miles north northeast of me in Maryland. No snow here. 6, 10 inches of snow where they lived.
