Thanks for uploading. I’ve no idea if PC Clarke is still alive today but what he did coming forward like this took huge courage. He was at the Birmingham Six’s release party in the summer of 1991 and I thanked him for what he did. This documentary led to the case being sent back to appeal a month later, an appeal at which PC Clarke and another former WM Police officer testified the men had been assaulted. That new evidence was all dismissed by the three appeal judges in January 1988, seemingly because they just couldn’t admit the huge lie that had been created. It took another three years for the Birmingham Six to be released in March 1991 when the lie became just too unsustainable to maintain.

Didn’t someone come forward years later who done it and described exactly where the bombs in the pub were left ?
@patkearney93204 ай бұрын
Them bombings was never given the green light from the army council they was independents who didn’t or wouldn’t take orders. So much mystery surrounded those terrible bombings why would PIRA endorse an action that turned the world against republicans cause. The ones responsible are known to all involved especially M15/ yet they just chose any paddy’s they could pin it on. Even in the English prisons system they was never housed with PIRA because they weren’t members,they done there time with criminals, this told screws they was innocent and after the fuse died down the screws treated them proper unlike true members.

It was all so childish an ASU returning home on a boat tickets bought in there own names, no extraction team to help them the nonsense goes on and on. Paddy Hill was the only one who wouldn’t sign statements because he knew the system. The others where all Snow White civilians working men.
