When you arrive in Basel Airport, you see signs for exits into 3 countries. This airport for a Swiss City is in France but it is still part Swiss?

What's the strangest airport which you have ever visited?

I think Tbilisi is fascinating, but for a strange reason. Apparently, it has cheap airplane parking fees so airlines use it for the last run of the day. This means that airlines will usually fly in very late and then leave early. Worth noting if you ever have to go to Georgia for work. Don’t book an early morning meeting! Changi in Singapore is the nicest. Orchids growing everywhere!

Our Viking cruise ends in Basel and we fly back to the U.S. from there. When I look at the airlines site it offers two airports. Is BSL the one we would use?

@@mmc9828 If you ship stops in Basel, you'll probably access the airport from Switzerland and go through the Swiss customs and border checks.

I'm from Lebanon and have a Schengenvisa from Germany. Can I fly to Mulhouse and than enter Freiburg Germany?

France and Germany are both EU and Schengen Zone countries. So, if you get checked in by the French, that's valid for the Germans as well.

I have to disagree! Switzerland, given the different taxation and trade agreements, still does checks. Not every person is checked, but the border checkpoints are sometimes active and do random quick searches
