But seriously, these type of scenic VFR discovery flights are a knockout in 3D. My Crystal Light arrived 2 days ago, the one with local dimming. 4070 and 5800X3D has shown me to be more than enough power to run the headset even in heavy scenery.

Switzerland is stunning each and every time, again and again. I got most of the airfields there covered by payware and freeware and it's my go to country in europe. And you can fly STOL (there's a nice Altiport just SW of Sion LSGS), GA, Helo (many heliports there!) and military (with all those disused airfields buried deep into the valleys), so basically anyone can find his sweet spot there.

It's like when you ask "eh?", and then just stick a "z" in front of it, as in "zoom" ( here I go again...lol) but please don't feel awful! That is Beromünster.. i had my first real flight lesson in a Cessna 152. the 3d Model and Scenery is super accurate. The landing procedure is quite tricky due to the fact of the very short runway and the noise avoidance zones around the nearby town of Beromünster. You have to fly in on a s curve... and for a rooky like me quite steep. But it was super fun. and the MSFS totaly reflects that.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend F62 - Hayfork Airport from Orbx that released recently. In northern California, it has not only everything a GA/Bush pilot wants, it's also got a Juice Goose track and 30+ mile drivable trail up to a fire lookout bush strip and a second strip northeast from the the Lookout.

Meiringen is a swiss army military airport, home of a swiss FA18 fighter squadron. You cannot land there nor entry or cross the Meiringer military aerospace without Zurich info and tower permission . Fa18 are also stored in hangars hidden under the mountain. If there is not military activity is easy to receive permission to cross the aerospace but not at low level. There are two wonderful free versikn of Meiringen airport. Give it a try! I have flown over or near it several times in RL. A salute from Switzerland.

A rough and ready way to deal with ei and ie in German is to pronounce the second of the two letters as you would in the £nglish alphabet . So ei is pronounced like"i" and ie comes out as "e" in the English alphabet. Meiringen (i) and Siegfried (e) for example. Hope that helps.
