A tale of King Solomon

The famous tale of King Solomon who settles a dispute between two women over a baby is used in the public debate as an analogy to the dispute over the state of Israel between the supporters and the opposers of the judicial reform. Who cares more about the baby in King Solomon's game and what does this tell us about the ongoing conflict? We argue that this strongly hinges on the underlying assumptions in the tale.
