Well when nala told him that she had to be scar queen to help the lioness he was a bit hurt and vitani hate simba and wanted to hurt him but she couldn't because of her mother. And will scar did kill mufasa and he thought vitani was going to kill kiara but she just need help to understand that why nala love her the most and want her to be here didn't want her to lose her.

Wait but aren't Vitani and Kovu half-brother and sister here? If I understood the storyline correctly here, Scar did bad stuff to Nala and Vitani was borne of that. Then Scar paired together with Zira and they had Kovu. I am confused.

Oof zira told scar that her son can be the mate of vitani so scar say yes to that but Naka and vitani don't know so and scar die so zira trying to get kovu to vitani but kiara was in the way
