That honey locust is incredible! I never knew that an improved variety had been identified. I've made molasses from mesquite beans, and would love to try with with other tree legumes. Akebia quinata is a fairly common ornamental vine around here (Seattle), but most of them rarely bear fruit.

What was the variety of the beauty berry that tasted better? Is it just a particular species or a specific cultivar of a species?

Thanks for the question! We're checking with Steven for the answer.

Hmmm... Wouldn’t mind getting seeds for some of these varieties. Will they be available through Baker Creek? Kate in Olympia, WA - 9/20/2024.

Hi Kate, we don't have immediate plans to offer these, but perhaps some will be in our future! We are always looking for exciting new varieties to grow and offer.

Where did you get the honey locust?
@danielsmith3362 ай бұрын
Search for Hershey honey locusts. I'm not sure which of Hershey's selections he is showing there but you can find grafted trees or scion wood if you look for them. Fruitwood Nursery sells scion wood and Cricket Hill Garden sells grafted trees for example.
