History has shown us that they were intelligent, with a penchant for creating an artistic form of dance. In one sentence- “They were very social, highly trained, respected by the people and their places were the go to areas for intelligent debates, and learning”

😂😂😂😂😂😂tawaifs had nobility/gentry as their clientele, so they learned singing/writing because nobility back then was into art and music! Ofcourse they learned art. So what? That's literally a high-class prostitute. Its funny how you guys will BLAME the british for some stupid silly reasons but nothing on the mughals who straight up abducted women from kashmir etc to fill up their harems during their regular "jihads". Nothing on that. Ofcourse not. A MASSIVE slavery network existed in mughal india especially in north india from gujarat to egypt and all the way to Baghdad and even Istanbul. You guys are delusional for blaming the British but fearing islam is a natural habit of most of you hindus, mughal/islam terrified you and still does, i am oftentimes coming across situations where a hindu will greatly analyse some historical fact or topic, but leave out critical details that may be considered as critique of islam. It is most interesting for example, when people blame the british for ending tawaif culture, but pretend there was no slave network supplying said tawaifs, they supposedly all turned up consensually to charm the nawabs. Most hilarious people on earth, the simple fear of one middle eastern doctrine is great in your mind, greater than any conceived threat from the white man.

tawaif were kind of modern actresses and theatre artists in prev era! who knows kareena kapoor, alia bhatt,singers were tawaif in their past lives. they were performers, artists.
