A-Team: Selected clips from "The Sound of Thunder"

One of my favorite episodes. The team returns to Vietnam to assist General Fullbright in rescuing his half-Vietnamese daughter, played by a young Tia Carrere. I picked a few clips that really display the toll that Vietnam exerted on soldiers.

To this day, many are still MIA after the Vietnam War ended. Closure is still elusive for many families. We must still remember of our men and women of the military who fought and sacrificed for our freedom.

This was the most powerful ending next to blade runner, it still sends a shiver down my spine and a tear to my eye . I remembered it but i didn't think about it, wow !!! Powerful stuff. It brings home the horror of war. Also I'm sure Fulbright was in an earlier episode as a people smugler from Mexico. THE SOUND OF THUNDER still stands out by a mile though. Oct 2020 ❤🙏❤🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Yes he was season 2 bad time on border i think also has tanya in as a different character. He was also in season 1 episode as dirty cop 👍

@@philfitnesspt6139 this particular episode as i said and also THE TRIAL. A great storyline tells how corrupt the Vietnam war was, it achieved nothing in my opinion, and yet hard hitting in one sense. 👍👍👍

I kind of agree but i did enjoy season 5 esp the 3 part trail it made the series bit more grown up although i feel they never really took advantage of the new set up some episodes worked although some were very poor like quarter back sneak and the episode with the old people in the home. Also loved Robert Vaughn being added but not frankie Santana 🙈. Real shame Tia was not able to get out of her contract to different tv show as she would have been added in season 5 she was beautiful and great actress.

If they were going to end the series, this would have been the perfect way to go out. I loved the A-Team, it was one of my favorite shows ever. However, looking back now, I think it went one season too long. Season 5 was the not the way for it go out. Loved Robert Vaughn in that 5th Season, but for me, this episode would have been the one to send it out on top with.

I get your point but i did enjoy 5th season if just for the 3 part trail episode ill admit the episodes that followed were of mixed quality i don't think.they used the idea to the best potential some were good some were really weak like quarter back sneak and that episodes with the old folks home which was actually last episode made🙈

This was originally going to be the final episode to ever be made. Half way through the 4th Season, the TV executives had decided to cancel the series which gave the producers time to create a finale. However, after the episode was produced and before it aired, the TV executives went back on their decision and commissioned a 5th Season. The producers decided not to alter the episode and left it as originally intended.

@@philfitnesspt6139 I loved the trial and Thunder and also when Face got shot in the restaurant. (Sorry, remember plots and not titles). The only episode that I really didn’t like over the 5 seasons was the one involving the nursing home. But I love this show. I agree that had they closed with Thunder and that scene between Hannibal and Murdock it would have been profound and powerful.

1:16-1:22 you can see the suppressed rage in [the normally jovial] Hannibal's face when he grabs Tia and tells her that the war which incidentally brought about her very existance was "nothing you could ever understand!"

This was a tremendous opportunity to retool the show into something grittier and darker for Season 5 and beyond as the child fans were getting older, and also decouple from Mr. T's rapidly declining fame by this point (fans of Mr. T were shifting over to become fans of Hulk Hogan, and the A-Team's ratings were falling). But they didn't pull it off. None of the Season 5 episodes were good, and thus there were only 13 more episodes.

Actually no (not counting the off screen death's people talk about in some episodes) the mob boss was killed & thrown out window in s1 rabbit ate los Vegas. In diamonds and dust season 2 opener the bad guys shoot the farther of the lady who hires the a team. In season 3 skins the brother of the sister who hires a-team is shot dead. Season 5 has 2 onscreen death's to one in the theory of revelation & the episode where Murdock plays a james bond character called Logan ross i think. There may have been others haven't watched whole series for while. 🤷‍♂️🤔

@@WCWF There have been several deaths over the seasons, but I think this is the only time a member of the A-Team kills a bad guy, as Hannibal did with that rocket launcher (?). (I think Hannibal was right to do it under the circumstances.)

I'm not 100% positive ,but I think so. It was very rare for someone to die on that show, if at all, up to that point. Now if I can remember right there was death in the 5th season.
