I want to mention (albeit very late) that this was actually an unsanctioned trail that got adopted by evergreen and extended. The upper section was built by private builders.

I remember the old days before Evergreen adopted the trail. You missed out on the original start through the waterfall of roots that made that trail such a unique, hard, black that some of my friends have injured themselves on. Give it a go next time.

“Some of my friends have injured themselves on” That’s not exactly selling it. 😂

Will Evergreen SW be building with the ATD process? These trails are a lot of fun and it would be great to see something like this on Larch mtn.

lopapsdo We would like to adopt this approach. The next couple of trails are part of the 17 mile grant and so must be multi-user trails. But after we’re through with that, we will be advocating for this approach where appropriate.

I last rode Physical Therapy in 2019. Has the trail changed at all since then? If so, how?

Yeah - you can definitely feel that there are about 10 times the tires on the trail. Especially the short rooty section on top is pretty well worn (Evergreen also built a go-around for that, which is the main reason for the many tires). At the bottom, where you used to balance across that tree, there is a bridge now and the trail above is all smoothed and bermed out instead of wet & chunky.
