So glad I found them even though they had been around for 20 years before I saw their youtube videos. I had open heart surgery five months ago, and have been turning to the Use Orch of GB to keep me smiling. Tonight I started watching a few of their performances of the Good the Bad and the Ugly to memorialize Ennio Morricone. I hope that he got to hear the Orch playing and singing his movie masterpiece. They love it, and perform it magnificently. Hail Ukes!

You're all so hopelessly English (?!) ...well whatever, definitely quintessentially British, quirky, funny, subtle, understated, professional (but never admit it), we just love all this - keep being yourselves. Never see barriers. That's it!

As someone who has been a health professional for about 35 years and lived with depression for 25 of those years, I think George is onto something, pure joy can often be uke shaped. Also, the chap who made the point about whistling was right, what happened, why is there so much less whistling ???? Lovely, thought provoking film. Thank you.

That was one good documentary. The best I have seen in a long time. Tell Hester's Dad she is now responsible enough to play his Martin uke and can most likely tune it properly for him.

I started playing ukulele when I was 64; I'm 70 now. Have come a long way, but still have a much longer way to go. I don't think I have 21 years left to play. :/ LOL I play with a group and actually got us a "gig" a couple of years ago at a local coffee shop. We play on Saturdays from time to time at 10 a.m. My husband says we're not good enough to play Friday nights when they have their live music. We're probably not good enough, but what the heck. We have a lot of fun, make mistakes and keep right on, and the audience seems to love us. Our group is called the Wilsonville Ukulele Players Society - WUPS for short, as you hear a lot of "whoops" when we play. I discovered you all a few years ago, and fell in love with your videos. Besides "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", I think my favorite is the one where you play in Australia at that cattle place. What a hoot!!! You must have been so hot in your tuxes.

Great documentary! Have been a North American fan since your visit to the Ukulele Ceilidh in Nova Scotia (then Erie Pennsylvania, Cerritos California, Carnegie Hall). Thanks for the lockdown videos and releasing these documentaries on U2b! You never fail to brighten the time!

Always love any documentary/behind the scenes with the Orchestra. Personally I think the Orchestra will go on forever, with new incredible talents such as Laura coming through into the group. We miss George on the live shows though!

What these guys taught us (well, at least me) was the fact that the Ukulele, probably above all others, is a FUN instrument, and not JOKE instrument!

Always looking for your new on line videos...after covid hope to hear you live some day...have been playing for 10 years...something new about the uke can be learned and it changes you and the people around you whether they are 2 or 92. It is a happy sound and can be a beautifully complicated little instrument

R.I.P. Kitty Lux: At 4:35, Kitty talked of perhaps still playing in orchestra with their zimmer frames. How sad. Nine years later she was no longer with us. died of cancer.

Dave might be nearing Zimmer frame time but it won't slow him down. in fact we may see him smashing one up on stage like The Who. In one upload he admitted owning and wearing a onesie with ears.

The greatest female whistler was none other than Julie Andrews. Walt Disney was convinced to give her the role in Mary Poppins when she demonstrated her unique ability.

I love bands like Rolling Stones etc but they don’t make me laugh like UOGB. Ever! I am older than any of current UOGB by a mile, still using Mother’s Zimmer frame as spare clothes airer 🤫👍🖖
