Music is of deep importance; humans have an innate need for it. José González has been one of favorite musicians for well over 10 years. His music speaks to my heart and soul. It brings me joy, comfort and guidance in a world often difficult to be in. I have immense gratitude for this man, and the music he creates. To think he questions his life path saddens me. I can't imagine the soundtrack of my life without him.

Super hoping there's an east coast US leg of the tour. I'm not sure if the sentiment expressed in the beginning about not doing something 'important' is one you actually hold, but for what it's worth your music has significantly enriched my life and the lives of some very important people to me. I work in pediatric critical care and when I have a really difficult shift, your music brings me back. I can't thank you enough.

Ive been a fan of Jose for more than 10 years now, and I finally saw him live, and even had the privelege of talking and taking a photo with him two years ago. His music holds great, deep meaning, as he speaks on concious living, and in finding peace. Such a beautiful soul he is! Thank you for sharing your Art!

Interesting perspective. Success is a funny thing. I've struggled my entire life striving for even the small level of success in music and some folks like Jose just fall into it by accident and find long term success. That's usually the way it works.

Art is of the greatest importance. There is a famous saying, "History is written by the victor", implying that whoever controls the narrative decides who is "The hero" and who is "The villain". I would say that a corollary to that is "History is recorded by the artist." Whether it's painting, music, dance, sculpture, poetry... artists capture what it means to be *human* and that informs our knowledge of the world. Jose Gonzalez is important.
