probably adding some good nutrition to the soil as they rot and dissolve into the ground. Good little video

That Jackson is sure changing his looks. Appreciate the tip. We made loads of Scuppernongs. I don't have but about seven plants, but they made plenty for us and friends and family. My wife has gotten all the ingredients for the wine making process and using your video for reference. Take care!

Cool. I learned something new today. Have some vines that haven't produced in years.
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
Maje sure to prune them in February. Start firing April and lots of water maybe they start back. Prunning is very important

Shane, is it worth putting a tarp under the vines to Capture the grapes and then feed them to the animals?

Yes because THERES A TON THAT FALL

Jackson's just too cute. I can understand getting the fruit that's going bad being taken off the vine. But can't you leave the healthy ones till they ripen? Or is it better to just dump all the fruit at once? Love ya guys❤❤
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
Dump all so we can give it a break. We are burnt out

We are a little dry right here in East Texas at the moment so I will continue to water for a little longer as you suggested. But just to clarify, so now, I do not need to do any more fertilizing and no pruning as yet?
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
No fertilize and no prune lol. Take a break until February to start you prunning and April to fertilize
@marthalister51582 ай бұрын
Do you trim your vines back in order to fine the fruit?
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
No they easy to find. It does make the vineyard look better and when cutting grass you don't pull down the vines
@marthalister51582 ай бұрын
@@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia my vines has 10 times more foliage than yours does. Not sure why, but the foliage runs 4/5 feet out on ground and I have a 5ft tall trellis. Im also not sure if mine are a golden color muscadine like the one in your video or if mine are scuppernongs
@tsunami3972 ай бұрын
Hello. How far apart are your rows in your vineyard? I ‘m running out of real estate for my trellis so I’m thinking about putting the trellis(s) beside each other.
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
8 ft. They recommend 10 but I went 8 to get more rows in and sometimes when full grown it can get a little tight in there lol. But I summer prune to keep that problem down
@tsunami3972 ай бұрын
Thank you, thank you! I’m gonna try and follow your tips and Isons’ to see how my vines grow

Do you have any problems with deer eating up everything, I’ve never had grape vines, but have thought about doing a couple rolls, but I got a bad deer problem
@KinfolkFarmofGeorgia2 ай бұрын
We have so many that we really don't see much damage that the deer do. Ut with a few plants you will definitely have to protect them
