But i have one question that with select-option in amdp we converting it through class for native sql, question is select option table having field option where we can pass 'EQ', exclude, between.. Us this one work in amdp after converting.. Please reply waiting for your reply

Hi sir, I have scenario, in one local variable we have value: 'ABCDE' now I need first two characters only, that is 'AB', how to achieve using SQL scripts via AMDP, iam using LEFT string function, but unable to get the output... i am writing the select statement "lv_objtype1 = select LEFT(:lv_zzobjnr, 2) from dummy;" . But i am getting the error message "SQLSCRIPT message: scalar type is not allowed: LV_OBJTYPE1" how to adjust the select statement

one question was raised y trainer, but wasn't answered, please help - why do we need CDS TABLE FN. when we have CDS views and AMDP (we can apply sel. option in AMDP as well by converting it to string, then why we need CDS TABLE FUNCTION? )
