You can try to go via Abu Dhabi UAE (you will need to take a transit visa for UAE which is free for 48 hours & AED 150 for 96 hours). You can take Wizz Air flights from Abu Dhabi to Madinah which are very economical. If you wish you can even go out to see Abu Dhabi city or even Dubai.
