I’ve eaten akokono before (like 3times in Eastern and Brong Ahafo Region ). You just put it in the frying pan and it produces it’s own oil and fry because of the fat. Whenever I tell people about this they doubt there’s something like that so I kinda stopped bringing it up in conversations because a lot of people don’t know about it.Thanks for documenting this🥰

We ate these larvae in our childhood with pepper just like kebabs in my village, Subri. It was mostly eaten by children. We picked them from the farm and prepared them ourselves.
