Mo piawwwwwwwwww Agona Dehyie for showing us great things He did!!! Okomfo Anokye last place was in Asene Abusua in Agona. He became a ruler of Agona Asante as a thank you by Asanteman. He did a lot in Agona Asante because he was a very great Priest of all times! He started his emigration from a place in modern Togo to Asante through Awukugua with his friend Osei Tutu. He and his friend Osei Tutu were guarded to Asante by a general, called Anum Asare by the orders of Great Akwamuhene Ansa Sasraku. The colour of his skin even testifies that he was not from Agona but somewhere. Most of we Asante are not light skin but black. In all, Okomfo Anokye was a GREAT priest ever lived!

He was born Kwame Agyei..born in Awukugua. His childhood footprints are all available there. Their chief confirmed he died but refused to say in on camera. .. He did many great things across the country not only Agona. At Asiakwa near Kibi in the Eastern Region, he carved oware game in a big rock which i have personally seen before. A palm tree he planted at Awukugua is still there as i type this message. He lived at Agona but do not claim he's from there. Okomfo Anokye did not vanish, he was murdered, let's face the facts ! After the tragic death of Osei Tutu in the pra river, his mother ended up being used for a human sacrifice ritual when Okomfo Anokye was under the influence of his fetish spirits. When he came to himself, he was very angry and saddened and the Asantes feared he would return to Akwamu and make his people greater than Asante and in turn punish Asante for killing his mother via Anokye's own human sacrifice ritual when he was under the influence of his fetish spirits. Therefore one day they monitored him and when they realized they had succeeded in making him eat his taboo and he entered a room to do whatever was necessary to neutralize the effects of the taboo (which in this case was tilapia) they rushed on him and clubbed him to death ! And after his death, Asante concocted the story that he said he was going for the antidote for death ! Someone would ask, where is the source of your information ? Well my answer is this : a very old man who has already passed away who at one point in time used to be the driver of one of the late Asantehenes told this history and said that particular Asantehene told him this in secret.

I do believe, Nana Okomfo Anokye is from Agona. However, he went to Awukugua to learn the Fetish Priest practice. Because those days, the Awukuguas were famous in fetish priest practice than anywhere in Ghana. And Nana Osei Tutu (the 1st) went there to fortifies himself and met him. They also met at Denkyira when Nana Osei Tutu( the 1st) was there to observe Chieftancy practice and ruling. These are my best analysis.
