Pilau (pallau) looks nice, my aunt's add tomato paste, plenty of seasonings: thymes, scallions, bell peppers, carrots, pumpkin, garlic, scotch bonnet peppe, other fresh herbs and spices. Its like seasoned rice and Ientils all variety of lentils are nice too, different texture and flavor

When you make jollof rice from scratch with fresh meat and veggies, you will never turned back to those packaged products. Just utube the video and make it one day.
