A Tour of Harlaxton Manor by Gatton Academy Students

while watching the film "The Ruling Class" 1972, I could not help but focus on the set location more than the film itself. So after a little googling I found out it was this gorgeous manor. Thank you all for creating this fascinating tour. I really enjoyed listening and watching you each take us along with you on this tour. awesome job!

The Haunting had me obsessed with this place even tho most if not all interior shot were studio.

And only one room in this Harlaxton Manor was in the film, the Great Hall, which served as Hill House's "game room" due to the presence of a billiard table.

I in love with the Harlaxton manor I did so many research to find the house that was in the Haunting till I discover the name. I am going to visit this manor one day. It's my dream to visit this house.

I did so much research on this house because my last name is grantham, I’m so glad i did. Turns out I come from British royal family the being the granthams of course. They actual have a family crest and all.

This house is so beautiful and the detail work is spot on. So sad that this video was shot with a Potato on a stick and the person shooting the video had no idea how to do audio, lighting, or how to take still photos. Whomever did this should go back and redo it now that they have corrected their medications.

The inside is nothing like in THE HAUNTING,but it is supposed to be Really Haunted.

Compared to interior decoration of the period happening in Germany and Russia at the time, these interiors were heavy handed and rather ugly. English exteriors seemed to be smoke stacks and towers. Big for the sake of big.
