Hello Daniel Jaeger, you have a very nice toolbox & nice tool collection. I'm an auto technician also & enjoy seeing everybody's toolboxes & tools I haven't seen before or used, & toolbox customization ideas. I finely made my 1st toolbox inventory here on KZbin a few months ago & enjoy hearing what other people think (good/bad) about it. Thanks for sharing your toolbox inventory with us!! That 2 3/8 socket does come in handy. The shop I work at bought one for the shop tools, we use it for the 2013+ Ram 5500 upper balljoints, they are thread in to the housing. The boss got that from Napa its 3/4 drive, I bought one for myself but I could only find a 1 inch drive one, but I just use and adapter.

I noticed something that happened with me. The liner material that goes on the bottom of the drawer always gets bunched up. If it isn't bunched up it gets oily (makes crying sound). I used to think that sockets designed for use with an impact (the black ones) were make of a harder type of steel. It turns out the opposite is true. Impact sockets are make of a softer alloy,it keeps them from cracking. About "the biz" in general. I liked being able to specialize rather than being required to be a "bumper to bumper" mechanic. My line was AC, electrical, interior trim and accessories sold by the new car dept. There could be an entire week pass without me opening the hood for anything but the required fluid level checks we did on all cars. No I do not miss doing "gravy brake jobs" you can have them all (except BMW, those go fast) and no shop/Dealer ever,ever,ever turns a BMW rotor, it is a BMW thing,I do not know where the tradition was started as there are specs on doing it.

@juancam6486 жыл бұрын
Damn, nice...... I just got me the all gloss black on black Epiq 68 inch and added my own touch of wrapping with Batman Dark Knight Rises to it. I do have to say, these boxes are way too expensive to store spay cans and shit chains in them. If the guys want the cans that bad take them, but it is not going in my high dollar box! Kills me to see expensive tool boxes filled with papers, blubs, junk wires, spray cans and other worthless junk in them. Any how nice set up, I'm thinking hard on that side locker.

I gotta ask after seeing a lot of american toolbox tours, why the hell does almost nobody have a normal rolling cart with all drawers and put your normal hourly used sockets and pliers wrenches and so on in there and keep your specialised tools in the big box. How many miles extra do you walk each day walking to and from your big box for lets say a socket. Totally not effecient! Can somebody explain please?

@youshithead76759 жыл бұрын
+acemontages or you could buy a proper watch like a seiko, citizen or omega etc etc that looks nice, is durable and won't break. if you're worried about damaging it buy a second hand one from ebay, save you more money than buying that junk crapple watch, looks nicer and won't be out dated in a week. not to mention apple wont shaft you when they release a new watch, and seiko, citizens etc hold their value unlike crapple products.

It's definitely not cheap to get into Automotive repair work. It's even more expensive when you get into Heavy Duty Diesel Repair work. I got lucky when I worked for Detroit Diesel, they provided the tooling for me, except for the basic hand tools.
@suprafahrer64539 жыл бұрын
Looks like your box stays parked during it's life, my KRL722 is rolled on a daily basis from aircraft to aircraft for repairs. Snap-on boxes are sweet, except for the stock wheels are junk and all the sharp edges on the boxes corners etc. is a bad build quality. Other than that the boxes have a lot of space and are built like a Cadillac for tools.

@JgHaverty9 жыл бұрын
MrDjones55 Well yeah, but does he really need 20 pairs of snap ring pliers of the same size? lol
@MrDjones559 жыл бұрын
Not at all, no, I have two pair of adjustable position snap ring pliers that can pretty much do the job of 8 individual snap ring pliers but they aren't guaranteed to be as strong or long lasting as the 8 different cold forged fixed jawed snap ring pliers. My point though is that you can have one expensive tool and only use it a few times a year but when you need it it's worth it to have it.
