A Town like Sanquhar

My 2x great grandmother was born in Sanquhar. This is something I’ve just discovered. Her son moved to America, and we’ve been here ever since.

I visited the Radar station in the 70's when our Scouts camped in Cluckies field. My Uncle Dave's cycling trophies are in the Tollbooth. My dad moved down to Yorkshire when the pits were closing in the 50's. We would have been at the ROTM in 1976. My Aunt Mag and Aunt Mary worked at the Creamery and then moved to Century.
