Extremely underrated wrestler. Just goes to show you back then it was all in who you knew. He wasn't in the kliq. He had every ingredient to be a dominant big man like Kane. I guess he lacked mic skills perhaps ? Glad he got some shine and respect in Japan. He was trained the right way at the killer Kawasaki wrestling school same as HHH and Chyna.

he delayed… with Kane in the air.. Albert doesn’t get talked enough when it comes to strongest dudes to ever be in that ring

That was extremely impressive. And Kane wasn’t even squeezing with his legs like some of the other wrestlers were.

moves with “sit down” ending are always beautiful
@crazypato3752Ай бұрын
Could you give some examples? To go check them out
@Somnogenesis7 күн бұрын
@@crazypato3752 Sit-down powerbomb is an excellent example, like the Batista Bomb, or its double-underhook variant the Tiger Driver. Similarly you can have a double-underhook sitout facebuster (i.e. a sitout Pedigree), like Christopher Daniels' Angel's Wings. A Falcon Arrow is a sitout vertical suplex-slam that really benefits, visually, from the person doing it dropping to their rear for the impact. Chris Sabin's Cradle Shock is a beautiful sitout between-the-legs slam/driver (like a Falcon Arrow finish) but from the fireman's carry position rather than a suplex. The Sky High, as popularised by D'Lo Brown (who got it over in a big way) and later used to good effect by the likes of Titus O'Neil (Clash of the Titus) and Angelo Dawkins, is much like the Baldo Bomb in execution but is a lifting sitout spinebuster rather than sitout chokebomb. On that note, Al Snow had a really interesting sitout spinebuster variant, which started almost from the Rock Bottom position but landed like the Sky High does. It's in all the _SmackDown_ games, though hard these days to find footage of him doing it in real life. And almost any piledriver could count, but especially devastating-looking are the sitout belly-to-belly (tombstone) variants, like the one that Owen Hart legit broke Steve Austin's neck with. I've always been a particular fan of Rikishi's fantastic over-the-shoulder snap sitout Rikishi Driver - which alas he got banned from doing sometime in 2000, so tended to go with the Banzai Drop thereafter. Which, of course, is itself very much a move with a sit-down ending, but not exactly a "beautiful" one 🤣

I get a particular frisson out of seeing Albert/A-Train hit this on Hugh Morrus. It's like a visual metaphor for their respective later careers as head trainer 'behind the scenes' at WWE. Still love the move in general, meanwhile. The height, control and impact (and the fantastic _sound_ of it) are virtually the same whether he was hitting it on the Hardy Boyz and Rey Mysterio or Kane and the Undertaker. So impressive. A sorely underrated wrestler. And I still reckon his SmackDown IC title match against Kane in about 2001 might be the best big man sprint I've ever seen. Only about 7 minutes, but they don't let up for a second and both just leather the crap out of each other in there. Thoroughly recommend checking that one out.

Guy was so powerful but feel like WWE mistreated him by not giving him a title run and they reintroduced him in that shit tensai gimmick, instead 🤮🤮🤮 Guy could even manhandle big names like prime kane, lesner,taker etc.
@94fleetwood493 жыл бұрын
Nah, he didn't have the talk, charisma or promos to be a title holder. Maybe if he had a manager like Paul Heyman to speak for him....? But he was a great asset when Vince needed him in random matches to be brutal or star-studded matches he was placed in out of nowhere lol 😆 He was a great worker & delivered always. Now he works in the background curtains managing the current roster of stars & guiding new ones at the WWE Performance Center.
