I’m 63 and in 1969 when I was 8. We took a family vacation taking a train from Montreal to Vancouver. To this day the sound and movement of being on a train has always lulled me to sleep. Cheers from Montreal

I'm 46 and, when I was a young woman, maybe 21 or so, I took a Via Rail train from Saskatoon to Montreal. I have also loved the sounds and movements of the train since then. And I loved Montreal. I went back to visit several times after that, although now have been in ages.

I particularly love this story, as we live near Kamloops, British Columbia and often sit on the deck of our log house during the summer mornings enjoying a hot cup of coffee and the view of the valley below and watch for the Rocky Mountaineer as passes directly below our home.

I've just signed up to Stephen's patreon, something I've been meaning to do for months. This channel and his sleep stories have practically saved my life and I suddenly just realised we all need to make sure these magical, heartfelt stories keep coming. I'm not Stephen's friend or anything but I feel like starting a campaign to get everyone to sign up to one of the patreon tiers to show our gratitude, but mainly, if I'm honest, to make sure Stephen can afford to keep doing this ❤ writing all these stories must be a huge commitment in terms of time and energy, and like for any of our jobs, it needs to pay the bills. If it doesn't we need to move on. The first tier is only €3 per month. For that €3 I get a month of good sleep, which is life changing. This guy needs at least 1000 patrons!!!! Let's send some love back the other way everyone. Let's do it ❤❤❤❤ I'll be posting this on each video this week - that's my little good deed ❤

Being that I've traveled on Canada 🇨🇦 trains many times the most enjoyable one was from Calgary to Vancouver. We stopped and slept in a hotel at night so as not to miss the the view or anything else. Each car had its own host/waiter. Anothet train ride that was neat was from Montréal to Halifax. Those sleepers are great and private for long trip. Thank you so much for this sleep story.

Dear Stephen I want to say Thank you for that beautiful and kind portrayal of Canada. ❤ As I am Canadian and from saskatchewan. I took the train and trip mentioned when i was a child. But from Jasper to B.C. it was a sleeper then. But no cabins. I loved the journey, and your story!! Thankyou ❤

I need a video that’s a mix between “The Market of Magic” and the “Enchanted Fairy” like a market of fairy magic or something. The fairy one you did was pretty recent but the market of magic you did about a year ago and those two are my favorites. I listen to them on repeat. So a mix of them would be so good. Like you go to the market and you can pick what kind of fairy powers or fairy wings or fairy companion you want or something idk. I think it would be a good story and I want to hear it so bad!!

Hello there Mr. Stephen Dalton, I’ve been a long time nightly listener and you’re probably the only person on KZbin I’ve actually brought up to other people in my life, probably ever. It’s fantastic. So, with that being said. Respectfully, I wanted to ask you to take a listen to your Nidra Meditation sleep story again. There are certain lines in that sleep story that I have used as a cue to fall asleep every single night while listening to your countdown. You taught it to me and it’s dramatically changed how quickly I fall asleep while listening to you, even when I’m not listening to the Nidra mediation video. You tell the listener to relax the tiny muscles around our eyes. And our face. Something along the lines of you telling us to release all of the tiny muscles that are tense in our neck and head and face etc. I don’t honestly know if another mediation type video would do well on its own. I know that for myself at least, the countdown is 100% the highlight of the video for me and if anything wakes me up I restart the video for the countdown again every time. I think incorporating some of the relaxation cues (for the tint face muscles around the eyes) in one of those steps for the countdown would help people fall asleep faster. I just genuinely think that is all and wanted to finally take a moment to share it instead of “letting the thought pass along, and not fighting it” and going back to sleep😂 Love the work thank you for what you do 👍
