I had the honor to get blessing from H.H. Chatral Rinpoche in late 90s in Kathmandu my late father was his disciple Thomas Merton met Chatral Rinpoche in Darjeeling in 1968. They had a long talk which left Merton very enthused, so much so that he said that “If I were going to settle down with a Tibetan guru, I think Chatral would be the one I’d choose” (Asian Journal 144).
