Awesome, he's my absolute favorite actor so this video is really cool for me My favorite role of his is definetly Hannibal Lecter. I read all the books and watched all the movies and never thought someone could be as good or even better as Anthony Hopkins but Mads took it to another level for me. I found the DVD Box set for the show and thought if it's not Anthony Hopkins than what's the point but i recognized Mads on the Cover ( from his role in Casino Royale) and knew he can play a great villain so i bought it and i remember i binge watched the first season in one day and i was hooked. After that i watched every of his projects especially his danish movies. He's not that typical hollywood cut out and that is refreshing, he's such s unique actor Also yes , please give us Hannibal Season 4 #savehannibal #SaveHannibalS4

Inside Hollywood. This is how I see it! Hollywood was too slow to appreciate Mads Mikkelsens brilliance as an actor because he's not American, he's Danish. And also because Hollywood always likes to have an English speaking country as the good guy; American, English or Australian, not from a non English speaking country! Mikkelsen is not the problem, Hollywood is!! Jenny

You totally forgot to mention Connie Nielsen, amongst famous Danish actors. She played Russell Crowe's love in Gladiator, Wonder Woman's mom, in the Wonder Woman movies, and many more. She's probably the third most known Danish actor, after Mads, and Nikolaj Coster Waldau, although she has been in dozens of Hollywood movies. Just to name a few: Gladiator, The Ice Harvest, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and The Devil's Advocate. And Viggo Mortensen and Scarlett Johannson are "only" half Danes. They never lived in Denmark, and only Viggo has a semi close relationship to Denmark, being the only of the two, who can speak any Danish. I don't even think most Danes know that Scarlett is half Danish. And if you need to mention Scarlett, you also need to mention Elijah Wood, Eliza Dushku, Hayden Christensen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jessica Alba & Michael and Virginia Madsen.

Well... It's the English word "Hug" that derives from the "Hygge"... The modern English language heavily based on Scandinavian (Danish, old Norse) not the other way around...

I really see Mads Mikkelsen doing parts that are "Al Pacino" cast like. Some actors gets (even) better with age. I have seen many films Mads are in and he never disappoint and contributes to raise each one of them. His ability to act with few or no words but still keep you "alert" and attentative as audience are rare and I just hope the right directors see this as well. So far so good. If any doubts if he can be funny they should see some of the earlier films that have Mads saying hilarious lines, often in a dry subtle way that make you chuckle for minutes after. MM More Mads! Please! I want to see him more on the screen, not in real life, I like my girlfriend and dont want to loose her. Could we see him save the planet using intelligence rather than bombs or in a setting as topbusiness leader "distracted by the films real plot", or helping the Chinese people topple their evil dictatorship and make China democratic... (hey Hollywood, you send me a check and I give you plots LOL). I have seen a movie where Mads play a highly dysfunctional criminal and Mads kills a cow...it is SO funny! EDIT: I found "funny moments" from that film with subtitles. Go to 2:46. A sweet squirrel gets same treatment in the very beginning of the clip 😀. The whole movie are hilarious with constant conflicts within these dysfunctional people and in their attempts to function when they come into contact with more regular people. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6KVaaibmpWampY

The Crown: That was the Swedish royals, not the Danish. But yes, in Danish movies he is alloved to turn up the crazy factor sometimes, and it works great :D

Wrong. Yes, you saw tthe side of Swedish Victoria. You also saw the Belgic Mathilda and Spanish Leticia. They just there, cause they next to the danish royalty. For instance the young guy shown solo, is Prince Nikolai from Denmark. Victoria was there for 2 secs from the side, with other european royals. And there no other swedes. It was about the Danes.
