Paul Lamnek They’re definitely practical, but they probably used different methods than typical body shots.

Paul Lamnek A simple method a lot of films used to use involved fishing line and a coin or button. They would cover it under makeup and yank it out. They would also hide a small hose or tube to pump blood out. The second clip might have used this method, but I’m not sure. Watch George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead if you want more like that. The first clip, I’m not to sure how it was done, but it looks like an air compressor of some kind of being used.
