So true!! he didn't need the pace or the feet with a rugby brain like that. Some of those long drawn out passes that he used to throw must have been a dream for any back to run on to. Its not a coincidence so many great wallaby backs came around when he was playing. One of the best ever in my eyes!!

@TemakariniM Me too. Carlos was more fun to watch when he got it right, but I rate Larkham as a better player all round. I especially admire him for his guts- always willing to take the ball right to the line and cop a hammering himself if it meant he could put one of his team mates over the line. He wasn't just a brilliant playmaker, but tough as nails as well.

Without a doubt the best flyhalf we have ever produced. The retirement of Larkham is one of the reasons that I don't watch rugby too often nowadays. Berrick Barnes is a joke comparing to Larkham. An absolute legend!

That England try was a great product of Brumbism! From Larkham to Mortlock, then Gregan to Gerrard back to Larkham and finally finished off by Gerrard. I can see the AB's getting here especially after Dagg signed with Crusaders. Enjoy the RWC choke AB's. I hope they keep their promise and change their unifrorms to Pink if they Lose!

the wallabies side back then was quite similar to the current one. awesome tiny black half back, masterclass fly half (lark > cooper tho - coop will get better) and then talent out wide (mortlock - aac, latham - oconnor etc.) its pretty cool. hopefully aus wins world cup
