I kept wondering when KC would be back regularly on the Highbury squad after that post mancity game appearance. Little did I know I had already seen him for the last time, I would never hear new words of wisdom from him again. I was quite distraught for many days, I lost my father at 53 too and it all brought back some painful feelings. Kevin was a voice of a reason and sense in an online world where very little of that exists. I miss him, he taught me a lot about how to look at life. RIP Super Kev, at ease 😢🫡 give yourself time Sophie, do the things you gotta do, don’t let it get suppressed. Wish you lots of love, support and a big warm hug.

I only saw Kevin on the podcast. The first was on AFTV. I came 10 min late to this tribute, yesterday. Heard your poetic eulogy to day. You are good with words, Sophie. These were beautiful words. I got to know SuperKev through Highbury Squad. I went into the 2nd show before it actually hit me SuperKev actually was THE Kevin Campell of early 90s. What a lovely person he must have been. Well done Sophie and Mike and all the amazing guests! The poem at the beginning was beautiful and how you managed to hold it together I really don't know, I was choked up listening to it. I can't imagine how you must be feeling given how I feel and I never met or knew him or was a friend, although I like to think we're all friends in a looser sense. As you might recall I quite often agreed with you in your little "disagreements" 😉 . Anyway I don't want to ramble on with words that might feel a bit hollow, but the one thing I will say is it brings into perspective what he said at the end of each podcast "never forget to tell your loved ones you love them", so poignant in this context. I tend to be a "say nothing " person but felt I had to say something and gave a lot of consideration to it. It was a great show and an appropriate celebration of Kevin and what he meant to everyone. Take comfort that Kevin touched so many lives and that his legacy will live on through these memories of your special friend. My mum passed away in April so I know how much Kevin's family and closest friends will be missing him. We played a song at my mum's funeral called "Tonight we light a candle" and if you have a chance to listen to and read the lyrics to the song on Hayley Westenra's international website, I think you might find some comfort from them. Kev was only a couple of years older than me, so I followed his progress keenly through the academy and into the first team. There are always 'stars' in every team, but Kev's battling style, spirit and embodiment of Arsenal values made the fans feel that he was somehow different - that he was one of us. Love and strength to all Kev's family and friends, and to you Sophie and the Highbury Squad family. Kev was special, but he clearly thought all of you were special, too.

I just can't process it. I just keep seeing him in my mind's eye, the immensely powerful young "Rambo" that we all cheered on at Highbury who we then came to know as the smart, articulate and passionate Gooner, one of our own, one of us in every sense. I never had the pleasure of meeting Kev, but it's so, so, clear from everything that's been said and written that he was universally loved by all. Kev was all about the love and that, for me, is the legacy he leaves with us, that here was a man who spread love and left love wherever he went. At ease now, sir. Rest easy, Super Kev 🌹

Hearing all of these wonderful stories about Kev is just so heartwarming. I'm so glad that there are people like him out there in this world and so sad that the world now has one fewer. My love and condolences to Kev's family and to you Soph. I can't imagine the grief and loss that you all have gone through recently and pray that you can find warmth and comfort in your loved ones.
