A Tribute to the Old Fort Mill High School

My grandmother was a 1962 graduate of FMHS. I believe the campus was also the middle school before it was moved over. It's dejecting to know that a building in which so many precious memories were made is now rubble under a subdivision. I appreciate you for putting this together.

Being that both of my families are from Fort Mill. (Stikeleather and Woodruff) I showed this to my mom Deborah Stikeleather and she very much enjoyed it. She named off teachers that she remembered. Saw a glimpse of her brother Baxter and I saw my dads brother Jeff. While the high school was your high school it was my middle school. I remember the halls, smells and the gym/field like it was yesterday. Thank you for this video.

So nice to see as someone who attended middle school there. It was hard moving from A.O. Jones to the new “old” high school but we could feel the memories in the short time we were there. It would be really great to see a similar video with Jones or Fish. Much love to all my past, present and future Yellow Jackets!

I was only at Fort Mill High School for 2 years. Although I did graduate there I always felt like a outsider. That being said, I have many fond memories. Thank You, Tony for those memories.

I'm a total outsider to all this, having graduated from Wintersville High School, in Ohio, in 1976. It too, the original building may very well be DEMOLISHED in the near or far future, just like Fort Mill, or many another local Town school, born of a now changing Modus Vivendi that's evolving further all into the 21st century! A Peculiar Parallel set of conjoinable Circumstances in potential personal meetings, now possible to occur, and not yet over, brought me to awareness of Fort Mill and Its High School.
