O my goodness lord we had fun their in 81 82 my cousins raan track. The Rutherford my God my dad played football their I went their old coach Meade and coach roe and the dances we had we always got in trouble but dame it was fun....lol I have lived in Lexington ky ....after I left their .soooo sad

Thanks for the video, lot of memories, I've often wondered what it looked like, I went to school there in the 70s, I met my husband there in 1977, married him in 1979, still together today, started dating as teenagers, many memories, it's a shame they let the school get like that, they've could of done something with it, if they wanted to, besides let it fall apart, recreation center for kids, or something, it looks like a poor graveyard, my husband would work there in the summer, after school was out, and I would work at the elementary school in the summer, they wouldn't let us work together lol, we'd did it for extra cash, my aunts attended the school back in the 50s, I wish they'd never let get like that, makes you want to cry 😢, my husband playedfootball, we attended many dances, in the gym, wished I'd bought a year book,

9:43 you literally just glanced at my dads high school locker😭🤗 I took a trip there with my dad and he’s 34 today. The front entrance where the trophy case is, the glass was broken. 😢 My dad teared up a little bit because every trophy in that case HE HAD! It’s terrible how PHS has been treated since it closed down in 2010. It took 10 years and it looks like that. 😭😭😢

I loved my Pound High School I was and am still very upset about our school closing My children graduated from Pound High also. My best memories ever were made at this school watching my girls in the band and my son playing football baseball and basketball. My son played both ways on the only football team from Pound to ever go to state.

I fell asleep in coach B class, he threw a chalkboard eraser at me and it looked like I was covered in flour, lol. Hated to here he passed. Lots of good memories, and I spent alot of time in that gym between volleyball and basketball.

I went to Butler High School in Alabama and graduated in 98. That high school was later closed as well. Time really does fly by.

I miss seeing Coach B stand beside his door in between classes to talk with us....was my favorite classroom in that place.

It's a shame the community leaders let it get this bad.. Someone should have taken care of it. At least sold it to someone that would have fixed it up and done something with it for the community. I graduated in 1990. I was a member of the band back in the 80's when smiley was the director. I wished you had went up to the band room. We were a bad ass little marching band. We won every competition we was in. Even against the big schools like Dobyens Bennet. We only had like 30 members and they had over 100 and we would win every time.

I would love to give this video 1 million likes. I'm a huge High School Sports fan Outlaw and always admired the passion in SouthWest Virginia. Shame the football/baseball field is not in use at least by a Little League or the like. The Home Stands still look in excellent shape. Again, thank you for the video.
