The wood? Paint it with used motor oil so it soaks in about 6mm and it won't get termites and it will slow the rot. Better than wood treated with arsenic.

Good video Chris. It's not as bad as all that, the roads I mean. Replacing leaf spring eye and control arm bushings or just the entire control arm assembly every 4 to 5 years if you want to keep in top shape, every 8 to ten years if you are cheap like me. You have to remember that most people don't drive 6,000 km a year there.. Air ride bags would be awesome, I might try to import some one day.

That highway is typical of the provincial roads, two-lane, often congested and lots of on-going repairs and construction. It's not a Filipino road without potholes! It's the same north of Manila, some of the roadways are full of rain-caused cavernous holes.

The is road works all over the country Chris as its the main way the politicians can make back the money the spent on getting elected. I had a friend who did public works and its a well know fact that loess than 30% of the total price of the project actually goes into the road or building they are building the rest well you can figure out for yourself. And also one of the reasons stuff don't last long and has to be rebuilt.
