I don’t think it hurts to have 2% of your networth tied up in contingency assets like food, water, guns/ammo, emergency small solar system that can keep the deep freezer running. I’m not the biggest prepper where I have all of my networth tied up in it like some people I know but it gives me some piece of mind knowing I could go a few months in a true emergency. Diversifying my investments. Sort of like owning bonds.
